    CD-450
TA SCAMs CD-450 is an adv anced CD player optimiz edfor studio and liv e applications. The combination of searching for track and index IDs, a call function for auditioning start points, and the incremental pla y function combine to help you find the right cue quickly , and prevent the next tr ack from playing at the wrong time. Pitch control helps k eep the pace of the sound appropriate for the production. Plus, the digital output is handy for use with DAWs, digital mixers, or simply rearranging tunes to a digital recorder .

    PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The CD-450 CD pla yer is designed to fit a number of liv e and studio applications. It is durable enough to survive the dailygrind of broadcast situations, and full featured enough to serv ein both live and studio applications.
Live Theater - Dance StudioIn live situations, the audio engineer t ypically has a lot going onat the same time. The CD-450 actually helps b y automaticallyperforming routine tasks. The Auto Ready function willautomatically put the pla yer in pause at the start of the next tr ack. (No audio run-o ver to the wrong tr ack.) If you are pullingcustom cues, the Call function also helps y ou check your cue before playing it for the audience. Pitch Control is v ery usefulfor extending slightly short cues, or for helping dancers turna dragging tempo into a good groo ve.
Recording Studio - Post ProductionThe CD-450 has standard SPDIF digital output, so it is ideal fortr ansferring audio from CDs into DA Ws or digital recorders. Often times, sound effect CDs will ha ve numerous v ersions ofa particular sound effect on a single tr ack ID that is separatedby index IDs. (ie T elephone rings could all be on tr ack 37, withrings recorded from an old fashioned bell phone, digital phone, cell phone, office phone, fax machine, etc. each on their own index ID.) Locating the effect b y index greatly speeds up F oleywork. Plus, with quick play response, the CD-450 often can beused to drop the sound effect in directly .
Radio - Live BroadcastIn radio work, y ou want the music to start as soon as y ou hitplay on y our broadcast audio console. The CD-450 response tobroadcast standard fader start messages, and can position itself right on the starting edge of the music. (Most CDs ha veappro ximately a quarter to a half second gap from the start ID to the audio start. Cue to music starts y ou at the audio, not atthe track ID .) As with liv e theater work, A uto Ready is also handy to automatically stop the machine when the tr ack is done.
