    							Using the TV Features
    Storing Channels into Memory
    1. Press the MENUbutton to display the OSD 
    main menu. 
    2. Press x orz to select the “Setup” menu. 
    Pressx or z to select “Tuning Band, and use 
    y to select the antenna connection to “Air” or 
    “Cable”.
    Air: “Air” antenna signal programs 
    Cable: “Cable” antenna signal programs 
    3. Press x or z to select “Auto Ch Search”, then 
    pressy to perform Auto Ch Search function. 
    To stop scanning, press MENUat any time. 
    4.  The Auto Scan screen will be shown, and after it 
    is done, the screen will return to the first found 
    channel.
    Viewing the Menus
    1. Press the MENUbutton to display the OSD 
    main menu. There are Four top menus on the 
    screen: Setup, Video, Audio, and Feature. 
    2. Press xorz to select your desired top menu. 
    3. Press ENTER ory to enter the menu you 
    select.
    4. Use xz to select the control you want to adjust. 
    5.  When selecting the control with y, press y to 
    enter next level menu or enable the function. 
    6. Press {y to adjust or select the settings. 
    7.
    PressMENUto exit from the OSD menu.
    Adding a channel label 
    1. Press MENU. The OSD menu opens with Setup 
    highlighted. 
    2.  Press to enter the sub-menu, then press or to 
    highlight “Channel Labels”. The Channel Label 
    menu opens. 
    3.  Press or to move the cursor to the channel field, 
    then press or to select a channel. 
    4.  Press or to move the cursor to the label field, 
    then press or to select the character. 
    5. Press MENU to return to the previous menu.

    							Using the TV Features
    Setting the clock
    1. Press MENU. The OSD menu opens with 
    “Setup” highlighted. 
    2.  Press or repeatedly to highlight “Feature”. The 
    Feature menu opens. 
    3. Press y to enter the sub-menu, then press 
    xorz to highlight “Time Set”. The Time Set 
    menu opens. 
    4. Press xorz move to the different fields, then 
    press{ory to change the settings. 
    5. Press MENU to close the menu. 
    Setting parental controls
    Your TV has a V-chip that lets you control the type 
    of programs your children can watch. Parental 
    controls include two ratings: MPAA (based on age) 
    and TV Parental Guidelines (based on content and 
    age). A TV program may have an MPAA or TV 
    Parental Guidelines rating, so you should set 
    controls for both ratings. Before you can select 
    ratings, you need to set up a parental controls 
    password.
    To set up a password: 
    1.PressMENU. The OSD menu opens with Setup 
    highlighted. 
    2.Pressxorz repeatedly to highlight “Feature”. 
    The Feature menu opens. 
    3.Pressy to enter the sub-menu, then press 
    xorzto highlight Password Set. 
    4.Press the number buttons to enter the old 
    password. If you have not set a password, enter 
    0000. Press ENTER to continue. 
    5.Press the number buttons to enter a new 
    password. Press ENTER to continue. 
    6.Press the number buttons to enter the new 
    password again, to confirm. Press ENTER to 
    continue.
    *If you forget your password, enter 3448 for the old 
    password, then enter a new password. This password 
    always remains valid for resetting your password.

    Setting the Parental Control level 
    1.PressMENU. The OSD menu opens with Setup

    3.Pressy to enter the sub-menu, then press 
    xorz to highlight “Parental Control”.   
    The Password screen opens. 
    4.Press the number buttons to enter the password. 
    PressENTER to continue. The “Parental Control” 
    Menu opens. 
    5.Pressxorz to select USA Parental Locks or 
    Canadian Parental Locks, then press ENTER.
    The lock menu that you have selected opens. 
    6.Press{ory,xorz to move to a rating, then 
    pressENTER to select the rating. When you 
    block a rating, that rating and all higher ratings 
    are blocked. 
    7.PressMENU to close the menu.

    Cleaning the LCD TV
    •    Make sure the LCD TV is turned off. 
    •    Never spray or pour any liquid directly onto the screen or case. 
    To clean the screen:
    1. Wipe the screen with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. This removes dust and other particles. 
    2. If still not clean, apply a small amount of non-ammonia, non-alcohol based glass cleaner onto a 
    clean, soft, lint-free cloth, and wipe the screen. 
    To clean the case:
    1. Use a soft, dry cloth. 
    2. If still not clean, apply a small amount of a non-ammonia, non-alcohol based, mild non-abrasive 
    detergent onto a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, then wipe the surface.

    Refer the user manual from your service provider to determine the setting.

    power outlet to verify that the outlet is supplying the 
    proper voltage. 
    No picture z  The TV station may be experiencing problems. Try 
    another channel. 
    z  The Cable TV signal may be scrambled or encoded. 
    Please contact your local cable operator. 
    z  Make sure that connection to other components are 
    correct referring to the user guide. 
    z  Make sure that setup has been done correctly 
    after connections. 
    z  Make sure the correct input is selected and the input 
    signal is compatible. 
    Strange Color, light 
    color, or color 
    misalignmentz  Ensure that the video cable is securely connected. 
    z  The picture may appear dim in a brightly lit room. 
    z  Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation (color), and tint 
    referring to the user guide. 
    z  Check the input signal setting. 
    No sound z  Check your audio connections are properly connected

    z  The MUTE button may have been pressed, try 
    pressing this button again. 
    z  Check your audio settings, your TV audio may be set 
    to minimum.

    blocked. Make sure the path is clear and that the 
    remote control is aimed at the remote control sensor

    z  Press the POWER button on the remote control to see 
    if you can turn on the TV. 
    z  Press MENU button on the remote control to see if 
    there is a MENU shown on the screen. 
    z  Press only one button at a time and it is the correct one 
    for the operation you want to perform. 
    Unit cannot be 
    operatedz  External influences such as lightning or static 
    electricity may cause improper operation. In this case, 
    operate the unit after first turning on the power of the 
    LCD TV and the AVC System, or unplug the AC cord 
    for 1 to 2 minutes, then replug again.

    z  Is there no signal in PC mode or HDMI mode? 
    z  The internal temperature of the unit has increased.

    VIEWSONIC®LCD TVWhat the warranty covers: 
    ViewSonic warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use, during the warranty 
    period. If a product proves to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, ViewSonic will at its sole option 
    repair or replace the product with a like product. Replacement product or parts may include remanufactured or refurbished parts or 
    components.
    How long the warranty is effective:
    ViewSonic LCD TV are warranted for one (1) year for all parts excluding the light source and one (1) year for labor from the date of 
    the first customer purchase. 
    Who the warranty protects:
    This warranty is valid only for the first consumer purchaser. 
    What the warranty does not cover:
    1.Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed. 
    2.Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from: 
    a.Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification, or failure to 
    follow instructions supplied with the product.
