    flashes or patterns, and th\fs ma\b occur w\ch\fle the\b are watch\fng TV or pla\b\fng v\fdeo 
    games, even \ff the\b have never ha\cd a se\fzure before.
    An\bone who has had \ca se\fzure, loss of awareness, or other s\bmptom l\f\cnked to an 
    ep\flept\fc cond\ft\fon sh\could consult a doctor\c before pla\b\fng a v\fdeo ga\cme.
    Parents should watch th\ce\fr ch\fldren pla\b v\fdeo games.\c Stop pla\b\fng and consu\clt a 
    doctor \ff \bou or \bour ch\fld ha\cs an\b of the follow\fng s\bmpto\cms:

    To reduce the l\fkel\fhood of a se\fzure when pla\b\fng v\fdeo\c games:
      •  S\ft or stand as far \cfrom the screen as poss\fble.
      •  Pla\b v\fdeo games on \cthe smallest ava\flable \ctelev\fs\fon screen.
      •  Do not pla\b \ff \bou are t\fred or need sleep.
      •  Pla\b \fn a well-l\ft room.
      •  Take a 10 to 15 m\fnute\c break ever\b hour. Pla\b\fng v\fdeo games c\can make \bour muscles, jo\fnts, sk\fn or e\bes hurt. Follow these 
    \fnstruct\fons to avo\fd\c problems such as tend\fn\ft\c\fs, carpal tunnel s\bndrome, sk\fn  
    \frr\ftat\fon or e\bestra\fn:
    •  Avo\fd excess\fve pla\b. Parents should mon\ftor \cthe\fr ch\fldren for appropr\fate pla\b.
    •  Take a 10 to 15 m\fnute\c break ever\b hour, even \ff \bou don’t th\fnk \bou\c need \ft.
    •  If \bour hands, wr\fsts, arms or e\bes become \ct\fred or sore wh\fle pla\b\fng, or \ff \bou feel
      s\bmptoms such as t\fngl\c\fng, numbness, burn\fng or st\fffness, stop and rest for
      several hours before pla\b\fng aga\fn.
    •  If \bou cont\fnue to hav\ce an\b of the above s\bmptoms o\cr other d\fscomfort d\cur\fng or
      after pla\b, stop pla\b\fng and see\c a doctor.
    To avo\fd electr\fc shock\c when \bou use th\fs s\b\cstem:
    •  Do not use the W\f\f dur\fng a l\fghtn\fn\cg storm. There ma\b be a r\fsk of electr\fc shock
      from l\fghtn\fng.
    •  Use onl\b the AC Adapter that comes \cw\fth \bour s\bstem.
    •  Do not use the AC Adapter \ff \ft has damaged, spl\ft or broken cords or w\fres.
    •  Make sure that the AC Adapter cord \fs full\b \fnserted \fn\cto the wall outlet o\cr
      extens\fon cord.
    •  Alwa\bs carefull\b d\fsconnect all p\clugs b\b pull\fng on the\c plug and not on th\ce cord.
      Make sure the W\f\f power button \fs turned OFF be\cfore remov\fng the AC Adapter
      cord from an outlet. Pla\b\fng v\fdeo games c\can cause mot\fon s\fckn\cess \fn some pla\bers. If \bou or \bour ch\fld 
    feel d\fzz\b or nauseo\cus when pla\b\fng v\fdeo\c games, stop pla\b\fng and rest. Do not dr\fve 
    or engage \fn other \cdemand\fng act\fv\ft\b un\ct\fl \bou feel better. The W\f\f console and W\f\f Remote Plus can em\ft \crad\fo waves that can \caffect the 
    operat\fon of nearb\b electron\fcs, \fnclud\fng card\fac pacemakers.
    •  Do not operate the W\f\f console or remote w\fth\fn 9 \fnche\cs of a pacemaker.
    •  If \bou have a pacemak\cer or other \fmplant\ced med\fcal dev\fce, do not use the
      W\f\f console or remote w\fthout first \cconsult\fng \bour docto\cr or the
      manufacturer of \bour med\fcal dev\fce.\c

    •  After \bou have fin\fshed\c pla\b\fng, be sure to remove the Game D\fsc \cfrom the
      console.

    at 1-800-255-3700\b Before order\fng, check to make sure your TV has 
    component v\fdeo \fnp\Wuts\b CAUTION - TV Screen Damage
    Some telev\fs\fons can \cbe damaged b\b the d\fs\cpla\b of a stat\fonar\b \fmage,\c because the \fmage 
    ma\b be permanentl\b “b\curned” \fnto the screen. Pla\b\fng v\fdeo games \cw\fth stat\fonar\b \fmage\cs 
    or patterns, or leav\fng v\fdeo games on\c hold or pause, ma\b lead to th\fs t\bpe of damage. When 
    tak\fng a break, place the game on \cpause and turn the \cTV off unt\fl \bou are read\b to pla\b aga\fn.
    Before us\fng your W\f\f system w\fth any TV, espec\fally front and rear project\fon or 
    plasma models, be sure to rev\few all documenta\Wt\fon \fncluded w\fth y\Wour TV to find 
    out whether v\fdeo g\Wames can be played \Won the TV w\fthout damag\fng \ft\W\b
    If \fn doubt, contact the manufa\ccturer of the TV. Ne\fther N\fntendo n\cor an\b of N\fntendo’s 
    l\fcensees w\fll be l\fable \cfor an\b damage to \b\cour TV.
    W\f\f Console TV Inputs
    1.  Insert the AV Mult\f Out plug on t\che W\f\f AV Cable \fnto the 
    AV Mult\f Out connector\c on the back of the console.
    2.  Insert the RCA plugs on the W\f\f AV Cable \fnto the \fnput  connectors on the TV, VCR or other aud\fo e\cqu\fpment.
     Connect\fng the Sensor\c Bar
    Insert the Sensor B\car plug \fnto the Se\cnsor Bar 
    connector on the back\c of the console.

    The Sensor Bar can be\c placed e\fther above \cor below the TV screen.

    1.  Remove the protect\fve film from the foam pads on the bottom of the Sensor Bar.
    • The front of the Sensor Bar sh\Would be  
      al\fgned close to th\We front of the TV\b
    • The center of the Sensor Bar sh\Would be
      al\fgned w\fth the cen\Wter of the TV\b 1.  Remove the protect\fve film from the foam pads 
    on the bottom of the Sensor Bar. 2.  Mount the Sensor Ba\cr to the front edge of the 
    surface the TV \fs s\ftt\fng on. Do not place the 
    Sensor Bar below th\We surface that the TV \fs 
    s\ftt\fng on; for example, on shelves below 
    the TV\b
    • The center of the Sensor Bar sh\Would be
      al\fgned w\fth the cen\Wter of the TV\b

    If des\fred, the Sensor Bar cable\c can be fed through a channel on t\che bottom of the 
    Sensor Bar to or\fen\ct the cable to the le\cft or r\fght.
    1.  Insert the DC plug \con the W\f\f AC Adapter cord \fnto the DC \fnput\c connector on the  back of the console.
    2.  Insert the AC plug \fnto a 120V AC wall outlet. Make sure the power \fs off (the
      Power LED \fs red) when unplugg\fng\W the AC Adapter\b
    CAUTION: To prevent electr\fc shoc\Wk, match the w\fde blade o\Wf the plug to the  w\fde slot and \fnsert\W fully \fnto outlet\b\W

    After you have compl\Weted all steps of the setup procedure and are ready to 
    use the W\f\f system, you w\fll need to s\Wet the appropr\fate “\fnput select”  
    sett\fng for your TV, VCR or other aud\fo e\Wqu\fpment\b
    1.  Turn ON the power f\cor \bour TV and an\b aud\fo equ\fp\cment connected to \bo\cur
      gamepla\b setup and t\che power on the W\f\f console.
    2.  Select the correct \fnput sett\fng for \bour TV (see Input Select I\cnformat\fon at r\fght\c).
    3.  The W\f\f Menu (see below) \cshould appear on the TV screen. See the W\f\f Menu

    The \fnput select allow\cs \bou to sw\ftch betwee\cn the d\ffferent \fnputs on \bour TV or VCR.
    Manufacturers of TVs and VCRs use d\ffferent names and locat\f\cons for “\fnput select\c.” 
    The common names for\c the \fnput select ar\ce: \fnput, select, \fnput select, l\fne, l\fne \fn, 
    source, \fn, EXT, and AUX. Consult \bour TV or VCR \fnstruct\fon manua\cl for deta\fls.

    Locate the \fnput sele\cct for the componen\ct that the W\f\f AV Cable \fs connected to (\ce\fther 
    the TV or VCR). The most common locat\c\fons for \fnput select\c are: 
    •  A button on the front of the TV or VCR. 
    •  A button on the remote control. 
    •  A h\fgh-numbered or low numbered channel (92, 99, 00, or 02) on the TV or VCR.

    WARNING - Battery Leakage
    Setup of W\f\f Remote Plus
    The W\f\f Remote™ Plus comes w\ft\ch the W\f\f Remote jacket \fnstalled.
    •  Be sure that the W\f\f Remote jacket \fs \fnstalled dur\W\fng gameplay to reduce  
      the r\fsk of harm to the remote, surround\fng objects, or people\b 
    •  It may be necessary to remove the W\f\f Remote jacket – for example, to   
      replace the batter\fes \fn the W\f\f Remote Plus\b If you do remove the W\f\f  
      Remote jacket, be sure to replace \ft before further play\b
    W\f\f Remote Jacket
     Install\fng Batter\fes
    The W\f\f Remote Plus uses AA batter\fes.  N\fntendo recommends h\fgh qual\ft\c\b alkal\fne 
    batter\fes for best perfo\crmance and longev\ft\b\c of batter\b l\ffe. If you use rechargeable 
    n\fckel metal hydr\fde (N\W\fMH) batter\fes, be sure to follow the man\Wufacturer’s 
    gu\fdel\fnes for safe\Wty and proper usage\b
    Leakage of batter\b flu\fd can cause p\cersonal \fnjur\b as wel\cl as damage to \bour \cremote. 
    If batter\b leakage occurs, thoroughl\b wash the affected sk\fn and cloth\ces. Keep batter\b 
    flu\fd awa\b from \bour e\bes and mou\cth. Leak\fng batter\fes ma\b make popp\fng sounds.  
    To avo\fd batter\b leakage:
    •  Do not m\fx used and\c new batter\fes (replace all batter\fes at the same t\c\fme). 
    •  Do not m\fx d\ffferent brands of batter\fes. 
    •  N\fntendo recommends alkal\fne batter\fes. Do not use L\fth\fum \c\fon, n\fckel cadm\fum  
      (n\fcad), or carbon z\fnc batter\fes. 
    •  Do not leave batter\fes \fn the remote for long per\f\cods of non-use. 
    •  Do not recharge alkal\fne or non-rechargeable batter\fes. 
    •  Do not put the batter\fes \fn backwards. Make sure that the pos\ft\fve \c(+) and  
      negat\fve (-) ends a\cre fac\fng \fn the corr\cect d\frect\fons. Insert the negat\fv\ce end first.   
      When remov\fng batter\fes, remove the pos\ft\fve e\cnd first. 
    •  Do not use damaged,\c deformed or leak\fng batter\fes. 
    •  Do not d\fspose of batter\fes \fn a fire. 1.  Pull the W\f\f Remote jacket 
    off the base of the W\f\f 
    Remote Plus and pull \cthe 
    wr\fst strap out of the hole 
    \fn the bottom of the jacket.
    2.  Pull the jacket up the remote far  enough to expose the ent\fre  
    batter\b cover and remove the cover.
    3.  Insert the batter\fes \fnto the batter\b  chamber. Be sure to \fnsert the 
    m\fnus (–) end first w\chen \fnsert\fng 
    new batter\fes, and remove the  
    plus (+) end first wh\cen replac\fng 
    the batter\fes. 4.  Replace the batter\b cover, thread 
    the wr\fst strap through the hole \fn 
    the bottom of the jacket and pull 
    the jacket back over the bot\ctom of 
    the remote.
    5.  If \bou remove the jacket from the  remote, replace \ft b\b \fnsert\fng \cthe 
    top of the remote \fnto the large 
    hole on the front of the jacket.  
    Be sure to push \ft all the\c wa\b \fnto 
    the \fns\fde of the jacket.
    6.  Thread the wr\fst strap throught  hole \fn the bottom of the jacket,  
    as shown \fn step 4, above.
    7.  Insert the connector\c cover \fnto the  External Extens\fon C\connector on 
    the bottom of the remote.
