APPENDIX ACMOS RAM Data Test ProtocolThe first sub-test of the CMOS RAMdata is that of the ATTRACT MODEMESSAGE checksum. If the test doesnot pass, the factory ATTRACT MODEMESSAGE is restored. Next, the gameadjustments are checked and restored tofactory settings if an error is found. Ifgame adjustments are found intact, thehigh score table is checked for any badentries. Bad entries are replaced with ascore of 4,000 points and no initials. Ifall entries check, the game returns to theGame Over Mode.If game adjustments are restored tofactory settings, the AUDIT TOTALSare checked. If 5 or more audit digitsare other than 0-9 (that is hexadecimalA through F) all audit totals are cleared.This is followed by a check of the highscore table and the table is reset tofactory settings if errors are found.Finally, game adjustments are recheckedand either OPEN COIN DOOR orFACTORY SETTINGS RESTORED isdisplayed. With the former, open thecoin door and turn the game OFF andON and then FACTORY SETTINGSRESTORED will be displayed.
