							Este abridor de latas y afilador de cuchillos es para USO
DOMESTICO SOLAMENTE. Col—quelo en una superficie plana y
enchœfela a una toma de corriente alterna (corriente ordinaria
domŽstica). No use ningœn otro tipo de toma de corriente.
NOTAS IMPORTANTES: 
Para obtener un eficiente rendimiento del abridor de latas,
mantenga limpia la cuchilla.
El abridor se deber‡ apagar por un minuto despuŽs de haberlo
usado por 5 minutos.
COMO USAR EL ABRIDOR DE LATAS
1. Levante la palanca, coloque la lata bajo la barra de gu’a y
contra la rueda de engranaje. (Ver diagrama A para identificar
las partes). 
2. Presione hacia abajo la palanca para perforar la tapa de la lata
(diagrama B). Esta autom‡ticamente comienza a cortar. El
abridor continuar‡ cortando hasta que la tapa estŽ
completamente cortada de la lata.
3. Agarre la lata, luego levante la palanca para soltar la lata.
4. Cuidadosamente deslice la tapa sostenida por el im‡n, teniendo
cuidado de no herirse con el filo cortante de la tapa.
COMO USAR EL ABRIDOR DE BOTELLAS
1. Desenchufe la unidad. 
2. Coloque una mano encima del abridor de latas para sujetarlo. 
3. Mantenga la botella con la otra mano y coloque la tapa de la
botella debajo del borde sobresaliente. 
4. Suavemente empuje hacia abajo hasta que la tapa salte
(diagrama C).
NOTA: Este abridor de botellas no es recomendable para las
botellas que tienen tapa con rosca.
COMO USAR EL AFILADOR DE CUCHILLOS/TIJERAS
1. Voltee la unidad de lado para que el afilador estŽ a su derecha
(diagrama D).
2. Presione la palanca hacia abajo.
3. Coloque la hoja suavemente en la ranura izquierda o derecha.
Corra el cuchillo lentamente hacia usted con movimientos
lentos y parejos.
4. Coloque la hoja en otra ranura y repita 4 o 5 veces, alternando
de una ranura a otra hasta que haya obtenido el filo deseado.
5. El abridor de latas y afilador de cuchillos tambiŽn puede ser
usado para afilar tijeras. Una ranura m‡s grande al lado del
afilador de cuchillos ha sido dise–ada especialmente para
tijeras. Coloque una hoja de las tijeras en la ranura y luego
c—rrala hacia usted lentamente y en forma pareja. Repita con la
otra hoja. 
ATENCION ESPECIAL: 
Las hojas que se vayan a afilar deben estar limpias.
No afile cuchillos que tengan hojas dentadas.
This Can Opener/Knife Sharpener is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
Place it on a level surface, and insert plug into any AC electrical
outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other type of
outlet.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
To ensure continued efficient performance by this can opener,
keep the cutting blade clean.
Can opener should be turned off for 1 minute after operating for 
5 minutes.
TO USE THE CAN OPENER
1. Raise lever, place can under the guide bar and against the
geared wheel. (See diagram A to identify parts.)
2. Press down on lever to pierce lid of can (Diagram B). This
automatically starts the cutting action. The can opener will
continue to cut until the lid is completely severed from the can.
3. Grasp the can, then raise the lever to release the can.
4. Carefully slide the lid away from the magnet, using caution to
avoid being injured by the sharp edge of the lid.
TO USE THE BOTTLE OPENER
1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet. 
2. To steady, position one hand atop the can opener. 
3. Place bottle cap edge under bottle cap opener flange. 
4. Apply pressure on bottle downward until bottle cap pops off
(Diagram C).
NOTE:This bottle opener is not recommended for bottles having
ÒTwist OffÓ caps.
TO USE THE KNIFE/SCISSORS SHARPENER
1. Turn the unit sideways so that the knife sharpener is to your
right (Diagram D).
2. Press down lever.
4. Place blade lightly in either left or right groove. Draw knife
slowly toward you with a slow, even motion.4. Place blade in other groove and repeat 4 or 5 times, alternating from
one groove to the other until desired sharpness is achieved.
5. This can opener/knife sharpener can also be used for sharpening
scissors. A larger groove at the side of the knife sharpener is
designed especially for scissors. Place one blade of the scissors in
the groove, and then draw it toward you slowly and evenly. Repeat
with the other blade.
SPECIAL ATTENTION:
Blades to be sharpened should be clean.
Do not sharpen knives that have serrated blades.

How to Use
This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user
serviceable parts. Do not try to fix it yourself. Refer it to qualified
service personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN:Unplug unit from electrical outlet. To remove lever, hold can
opener facing you. Lift the lever upward and gently pull toward you.
Wash lever in warm, soapy water and wipe outside surfaces of unit
with a damp cloth.
To replace the lever, hold the can opener facing you with the lever in
the lifted position, and place the long pivot on the lever into the pivot
hole on the unit. Make sure to push pivot completely into the pivot hole,
then let lever drop back onto top of can opener. If you do not push
lever completely into hole, it will not drop back onto top of opener.
TO STORE:Unplug can opener and store in its box or in a dry place.
Store the cord loosely coiled;never wrap it tightly around the unit. 
Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the appliance as it may
cause the cord to fray and possibly break.

Como Usar
Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento y no tiene piezas que
puedan ser reparadas por el usuario. No trate de repararlo usted

PARA LIMPIAR:Desenchufe la unidad. Para remover la palanca,
sostenga el abridor de cara a usted. Levante la palanca hacia
arriba y suavemente hale hacia usted. Lave la palanca con agua
tibia jabonosa y limpie las superficies externas de la unidad con
un pa–o hœmedo.
Para volver a colocar la palanca, sostenga el abridor de cara a
usted con la palanca en posici—n hacia arriba y ponga el eje de la
palanca dentro del agujero para el eje. Asegœrese de empujar
completamente el eje dentro del agujero para el eje y luego deje
caer la palanca hacia la parte superior del abridor. Si usted no
empuja la palanca completamente al agujero, Žsta no caer‡ sobre
la parte superior del abridor.
PARA GUARDAR:Desconecte su abridor de latas y gu‡rdelo en su
misma caja o en lugar seco. Guarde el cable ligeramente
enrollado;nunca lo envuelva ajustado alrededor de la unidad.No
ponga presi—n al cable donde Žste entra a la unidad ya que esto
podr’a causar el desgaste y posible rotura del cable.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS 
POLARIZED PLUGThis appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try
again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion
marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should
be serviced and the line cord replaced. 
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could
place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and
cause it to fray and break.
