							HOW TO USE
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). 
Do not use any other type of outlet.
SPECIAL ATTENTION: The use of an extension cord is not recommended. However, if it is absolutely necessary, be sure that
the cord is (1) No. 14 AWG minimum size and rated no less than 1500 watts; (2) UL Listed; (3) as short as possible (long cords
can overheat, as well as trip circuit breakers); (4) not used for operating more than one appliance at a time.
CHOOSING A LOCATION
¥ Place unit on a flat, stable surface, such as a floor, tabletop, shelf or desk in a location where the airflow through the inlet 
and exhaust openings are not obstructed.
¥ Keep all combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet away 
from heater.
¥ Do not use in wet or moist locations; for example, bathrooms or laundry areas, or in areas where paint or other flammable 
or volatile liquids are used or stored.
CAUTION: Be sure that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit with this Heater/Fan. A circuit overload could
occur.
REMEMBER: Portable electric heaters are designed for space heating or as a supplementary heat source. They are not
intended be the main source of heat.
HOW TO USE
1. Make sure function switch is OFF before plugging unit in.
2. Plug in and turn unit on. The red power indicator light on the front of the unit illuminates.
3. If you prefer to operate the fan without heat, turn function switch to FAN and turn the thermostat switch clockwise until the 
fan begins to operate. The heat will not operate in this mode.
4. If you woutl like heat, select either 1000 watts (low) or 1500 watts (high). Turn the thermostat switch clockwise to the high 
setting to activate the Heater/Fan.
5. Once the desired room temperature is reached, turn the thermostat switch counterclockwise until the fan cycles off. 
The heat will now cycle on/off and maintain a comfort level.
SPECIAL FEATURES OF THIS HEATER/FAN
POWER INDICATOR LIGHT: To show that unit is switched on and operating, this Heater/Fan is equipped with a power indicator
light (red) that illuminates whenever the heater is plugged in and rotary switch is turned on in any position. It will continue to
glow even if the thermostat has cycled and the heating elements are off.   
PTC CERAMIC AUTO SHUT-OFF SAFETY DEVICE: This Heater/Fan is equipped with a safety auto shut-off and a safety thermal
fuse. If the unit experiences excessive heat, the safety auto shut-off will cycle the heater/fan off, but the power indicator light
will continue to glow, indicating that the unit is plugged in and switched on. If this occurs, turn the unit off and unplug it
immediately, and check for any objects that may be restricting airflow through the heater/fan.
Allow a cool-down period of at least ten (10) minutes before plugging in and switching the unit back on. This will permit the
safety devices to cool and reset. The Heater/Fan will then resume normal operation. The safety auto-shut off device is also
designed to operate if the heater is tipped over, front or back, and the airflow is blocked.POLARIZED PLUGThis appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance 
should be serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our Service Department or to an authorized service 
representative. 
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the 
appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR
STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
This appliance is permanently lubricated and will not require additional lubrication for the life of the unit. It contains no user
serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Before unplugging unit, turn to the Off position.
TO CLEAN:Always unplug and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet when cleaning your heater. Allow heater to cool
completely before attempting to clean. Accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner
using the dusting brush attachment. Interior dust can often be removed by using a vacuum cleaner in its blower mode with a
crevice attachment.
Heater may also be cleaned with a cloth that has been moistened with a mild detergent and water. Dry the heater casing
thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth before operating the unit.
CAUTION: DO NOT immerse heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater, as this could create an
electric shock hazard.
TO STORE:When storing heater during the off season, be sure to store it in a dry area. Neatly wrap the power cord. The power
cord should not be in contact with sharp edges, and it should not be compressed by heavy objects.

DONDE COLOCAR LA UNIDAD

COMO USAR
1. Asegœrese que el interruptor estŽ apagado antes de enchufar la unidad.
2. Enchufe y encienda el calentador. La luz indicadora del interruptor en la parte frontal de la unidad se enciende.
3. Si prefiere operar el ventilador sin emisi—n de calor, encienda la funci—n FAN (ventilador) y gire el control del termostato 
hacia la derecha hasta que comience a funcionar el ventilador. Al graduarse de esta manera la unidad no emite calor.
4. Si desea calor, elija entre 1000 vatios (bajo) o 1500 vatios (alto). Gire el control del termostato hacia la derecha, hacia la 
graduaci—n alta a fin de activar el calefactor / ventilador.
5. Una vez alcanzada la temperatura ambiental deseada, gire el control del termostato hacia la izquierda hasta apagarse 
el ventilador. El calor se enciende y se apaga a intervalos a fin de mantener un nivel de temperatura confortable.
CARACTERISTICAS ESPECIALES DE ESTE CALENTADOR/VENTILADOR
LUZ INDICADORA DE ENCENDIDO: Para mostrar que la unidad est‡ encendida y en funcionamiento, este Calentador/Ventilador
est‡ equipado con una luz indicadora de encendido (roja) que se ilumina cada vez que el  calentador es enchufado y el
interruptor rotativo es movido a cualquier posici—n. Esta continuar‡ iluminada aœn si el termostato ha dejado de funcionar y los
elementos de calentamiento est‡n apagados.
DISPOSITIVO DE SEGURIDAD PARA APAGADO AUTOMATICO DE CERAMICA PTC: Este Calentador/Ventilador est‡ equipado con
un  sistema de apagado autom‡tico y un fusible tŽrmico de seguridad. Si la unidad llegara a calentarse excesivamente, el
dispositivo de apagado autom‡tico apagar‡ el calentador/ventilador, pero la luz indicadora de encendido continuar‡ iluminada,
indicando que la unidad est‡ enchufada y el interruptor encendido. Si esto ocurriera, apague la unidad y desenchœfela
inmediatamente y revise por cualquier objeto que pueda estar restringiendo el flujo de aire a travŽs del calentador/ventilador.
DŽjela enfriar por lo menos 10 minutos antes de enchufarla y volverla a encender. Esto permitir‡ que los dispositivos se enfr’en y
descansen. El Calentador/Ventilador volver‡ a su normal funcionamiento. El dispositivo de seguridad de apagado autom‡tico
est‡ tambiŽn dise–ado para funcionar en caso de que el calentador se ladee, para atr‡s o para adelante y si la corriente de aire
es bloqueada.
Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento y no contiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario. No trate de repararlo
usted mismo. Si necesita reparaci—n rem’tala a personal de servicio calificado. (Para reparaci—n de piezas, rem’tase al nœmero
de modelo en la etiqueta que est‡ localizada en el calentador.
NOTA ESPECIAL: Antes de desenchufar la unidad, col—quela en la posici—n Apagado (Off).
PARA LIMPIAR:Siempre desenchœfelo cuando limpie su calentador. Deje que el calentador se enfrie completamente antes de
limpiarlo. El polvo acumulado puede ser retirado del calentador con un pa–o suave o con una aspiradora usando el cepillo que
se usa para retirar el polvo. El polvo acumulado en el interior puede ser retirado usando una aspiradora con la parte que arroja
aire.
El calentador tambiŽn puede ser limpiado con un pa–o humedecido con un detergente suave y agua. Seque el casco
completamente con un pa–o suave y seco antes de hacer funcionar nuevamente la unidad.
PRECAUCION: No sumerja el calentador en agua o deje que agua penetre en el interior del calentador, ya que esto podr’a
causar un corto circuito.
PARA GUARDAR:Cuando guarde la unidad, asegœrese de guardarla en un ‡rea seca. Enrolle el cord—n en forma ordenada. 
El cord—n no debe estar en contacto con objetos afilados y no deber‡ ser comprimido por objetos pesados.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
ENCHUFE POLARIZADOEste artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una hoja es m‡s ancha que la otra). Como medida de seguridad, este enchufe s—lo
debe usarse en un tomacorriente polarizado en un s—lo sentido. Si no entrara en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe y trate
nuevamente. Si aœn as’ no entrara, busque la ayuda de un electricista calificado. No intente anular este dispositivo de
seguridad.
SUGERENCIAS PARA SEGURIDAD CON EL CORDON
1. Nunca hale o tire del cord—n o del artefacto.

MODE DÕEMPLOI 
1. SÕassurer que lÕinterrupteur rotatif est en position ARRæT avant de brancher lÕappareil.  
2. Brancher et mettre en route, le tŽmoin lumineux rouge sur le devant de lÕappareil sÕallumera.
3. Si on dŽsire utiliser le ventilateur sans chaleur, mettre le bouton sur la position VENTILATEUR et rŽgler le thermostat dans le 
sens des aiguilles dÕune montre jusquÕˆ ce que le ventilateur se mette en marche.  LÕappareil ne chauffera pas dans ce mode.
4. Si on dŽsire chauffer, choisir 1000 (bas) ou 1500 (haut).  Tourner le thermostat rŽglable dans le sens des aiguilles dÕune montre 
sur haut pour mettre en marche le radiateur/ventilateur.
5. Une fois que la tempŽrature dŽsirŽe est atteinte, tourner le thermostat rŽglable dans le sens contraire des aiguilles dÕune 

niveau confortable.
CARACTƒRISTIQUES SPƒCIALES DE CE RADIATEUR/VENTILATEUR
TƒMOIN LUMINEUX : Pour indiquer que lÕappareil est branchŽ et fonctionne, ce radiateur/ventilateur est ŽquipŽ dÕun tŽmoin
lumineux (rouge) qui sÕallume quand le radiateur est branchŽ et lÕinterrupteur rotatif mis dans nÕimporte quelle position.  Il

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified person in
order to avoid a hazard.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and
injury to persons, including the following.

nREAD ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE HEATER.
nThis heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surface. Unplug and let heater cool down for at 
least 5 minutes before moving it. Use handles, if provided.
nTo reduce the risk of fire, keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains 
at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front, sides and rear of the heater.
nExtreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids, and whenever the heater is left 
operating. Avoid leaving an operating heater unattended.
nAlways unplug from electrical outlet (receptacle) whenever heater is not in use.
nTo disconnect heater, turn control to OFF, then remove plug from outlet (receptacle). REMOVE BY PULLING ON THE PLUGÑ

nDo not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after a malfunction, or after it has been dropped or damaged in 
any manner. Return heater to the nearest authorized service repair center for examination, electrical or mechanical 
adjustment or repair.
nThis heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may
come in contact with water, such as near a bathtub or sink. If the heater does become wet, unplug it from the wall receptacle 
before touching it, as a wet heater may create an electrical shock hazard even if the heater is turned off.
nDo not use outdoors.
nTo avoid overheating of the cord, do not cover any part of the cord with carpet, throw rugs, runners, newspapers, magazines, 
furniture, etc. Arrange cord away from trafficked areas, so it will not be tripped over or stepped on.
nDo not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electrical shock, fire 
or damage to the heater.
nTo avoid a fire hazard, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surface (such as a bed) where 
openings may be blocked or heater can fall over.
nA heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or other volatile or 
flammable liquids are used or stored.
nAvoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. However, if an 
extension cord must be used, it shall be of a minimum size of 14 AWG and rated not less than 1500 watts.  Use only an 
extension cord that is UL listed.
nTo prevent electrical overload and blown fuses, be sure that no other appliances are plugged into the same outlet (receptacle)
or into another outlet (receptacle) wired into the same circuit.
nDo not place any objects in front of heater.
nDo not place the heater near a bed, because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by 
the heater.  
nDo not use this heater as an integral part of any life support or equipment protection system, where a functional failure or 
misapplication of the heater could jeopardize the people or things being protected.
nAvoid using heater/fan while sleeping.
nUse heater only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire, 
electric shock or injury to persons.

elŽctrico o mec‡nico.
nEste calentador no ha sido destinado para usarse en lugares mojados o hœmedos, tales como el ba–o o en ‡reas donde se 
lave la ropa. Nunca lo coloque donde pueda estar en contacto con agua, ya sea en la tina o lavamanos. Si el calentador se 
mojara, desenchœfelo antes de tocarlo, ya que el calentador cuando est‡ mojado puede crear un choque elŽctrico, aœn 
estando apagado. Tampoco toque un calentador ya sea seco o mojado si alguna parte de su cuerpo est‡ mojada. Para una 
m‡xima protecci—n de un choque elŽctrico siempre enchufe el calentador en el recept‡culo protegido por GFCI (Ground Fault
Circuit Interruptor).
nNo lo use en exteriores.
nPara evitar un sobrecalentamiento del cord—n, no le cubra ningœna parte con alfombras, tapetes, peri—dicos, revistas, 
muebles, etc. Arregle el cord—n de tal manera que estŽ alejado de las ‡reas de m‡s tr‡fico, donde no puedan tropezarse 
con Žl o pisarlo.
nNo introduzca ni deje que objetos extra–os entren en las aberturas de ventilaci—n o salida, ya que esto puede causar un 
choque elŽctrico, fuego o da–o al calentador.
nPara evitar el peligro de fuego, no bloquee, de ninguna manera, las entradas o salidas de aire. No lo use en ‡reas  blandas, 
(tal como la cama), donde las aberturas puedan estar bloqueadas o que se pueda caer el calentador.
nUn calentador tiene partes extremadamente calientes, al rojo vivo. No lo use en ‡reas donde gasolina, pinturas u otros 
l’quidos vol‡tiles o inflamables puedan estarse usando o guardando.
nEvite el uso de un cord—n de extensi—n ya que el uso de Žste podr’a resultar en un sobrecalentamiento en el cord—n y causar 
peligro de fuego. Sin embargo, si se debe usar un cord—n de extensi—n, que sea de una medida m’nima de 14 AWG y uno 
clasificado de no menos de 1500 vatios. Use solamente una extensi—n de cord—n con el sello UL.
nPara prevenir un sobrecargo y volada de fusibles, asegœrese de que ningœn otro artefacto estŽ enchufado en el mismo
