Yoursystemhaspresettimedelays,knownasexitdelayandentrydelay.When
youarmyoursystem,exitdelaygivesyoutimetoleavethroughtheentry/exit
doorwithoutsettingoffanalarm.Entrydelaygivesyoutimetodisarmthe
systemwhenyoureenterthroughtheentry/exitdoor.Thesystemmustbe
disarmed,however,beforetheentrydelayperiodends,oranalarmwilloccur.

disarmthesystem,...

CHECKINGFOROPENZONES
UsingtheBeforearmingyoursystem,allprotecteddoors,windowsandotherprotection
qREADYKeyzonesmustbeclosedorbypassed(see13YPASS//VGPROTECT/ONZONES
section),otherwisetheconsolewilldisplaya“NotReady”message,andifyour
consolehasaREADYindicatorlight,itwillnotbelit..TheREADY(~)keycan
beusedtodisplayallfaultedzones,makingiteasierforyoutosecureanyopen
zone.
Todisplayfaultedzones,simplypressandreleasetheREADY(+f)key(donot
entercodefirst),Secureorbypassthezonesdisplayedbeforearmingthe
system....

BYPASSENGPROTECTIONZONES
Usingthe
q6BYPASSKeyThiskeyisusedwhenyouwanttoarmyoursystemwithoneormorezones
intentionallyunprotected.Thesystemmustbedisarmedfirst.
1.EnteryoursecuritycodeandpresstheBYPASSkey.
2.Enterzonenumber(s)forthezone(s)tobebypassed(e.g.,06,10,13,etc.).
Singledigitzonenumbersmustbeprecededbyazero(e.g.05,06).
3.Whenfinished,theconsolewillmomentarilydisplaya“Bypass”messagefor
eachbypassedzonenumber.Waitforthesezonestobedisplayed,to
confirmtheirbypass.

Ifyoursystemsupports“QuickBypass”,itallowsyoutoeasilybypassallopen
(faulted)zoneswithouthavingtoenterzonenumbersindividually.Thisfeature
isusefulif,forexample,youroutinelyleavecertainwindowsopenwhenarming
atnight.
Tousethisfeature,enteryoursecuritycode,presstheBYPASSkey,thenstop.
Inafewmoments,allopenzoneswillbedisplayedalongwitha“Bypass”
message.Waitforallbypassedzonestobedisplayed,thenarmthesystemas
