Panorama mode
Panorama Mode allows you to create a panoramc pcture 
across a dstant scene. The camera wll automatcally 
compose a panoramc pcture usng the ndvdual shots 
that you take.
Follow these steps to create a panoram

c pcture:
1.  Press the mode button to select Panorama Mode.
2.

  Use the Left/Right buttons to spec
 fy the drecton of 
pcture takng, and then n 2 seconds the panoramc 
sequence wll commence automatcally.
3.  Compose the first vew of the panoramc pcture on the 
LCD screen and press the Shutter button to capture.
4.

  After the first shot s taken, the sem-transparent 
mage of the first shot wll appear at the edge of the 
screen. You can use ths mage to compose your pcture 
before you press the Shutter button to capture and 
fin

sh manual sttchng.
5.  The camera w ll then st tch the p ctures  nto a panorama 
automatcally.
6.  Press the 
 button to enter Playback mode and 
revew the panorama result.
After takng a Panoramc pcture press the func/ok 
button to save and ext or press the Delete button to 
cancel and ext.
Flash Mode, Self-tmer, Macro Mode, and Exposure 
Compensaton are dsabled on Panorama Mode.
Pctures cannot be deleted, nor the zoom adjusted 
untl the seres s finalzed.
Panorama Mode can sttch 2 or 3 maxmum pctures.

In Manual Scene mode, you can select from a total of 20 
scene types to match your needs. You just need to select 
the r
ght scene for the occason and the camera wll auto-
mat
cally adjust to the optmal settngs for you.
Press the 
 button, select the Scene Mode menu w th the 
Left/Rght button, and the LCD screen wll show the figure 
as below.
Select a scene usng the Left/Rght button and press the 
 button.

1. After selectng the scene type, press the  button to 
actvate.
2.  To select a dfferent scene type, press the 
 button 
to enter the ma
n functon menu. Then press t agan to 
return to the to Scene selecton menu. 
The man functon menu also allows you to adjust 
the mage qualty and mage sze. Please refer to the 
"Advanced Functions Menu" sect
 on on page 20 for

Ths mode can help reduce photo blur caused by hand 
shake, low lght and slow shutter speed
Use stablzaton mode n dark envronments or when 
n slow shutter speed
Shootng n a wndy or unstable envronment (such 
as a movng vehcle) may cause blurred mages.

Face Detecton  s enabled funct on under normal state. In 
the Shoot ng mode (except for Panorama Mode/Mov e Mode), 
Face Detect on  s enabled funct on under normal state, used 
to recogn ze faces and focus automat cally to make them 
clearer.Eyes Closng Detecton s enabled functon under normal 
state. When shootng, f human face s detected wth eyes

Wth the camera's new "Smle Detecton" feature, whch 
automatcally detects and captures a person smlng, you'll 
never mss a smle.
1. In the Shootng Mode, press the Left/Smle Face 
Detecton button to turn on the Smle Face Detecton 
functon and the con  ( 
 ) appears on the LCD
2.
  Pont the camera at the subject untl the subject's 
face s detected and bracketed by a square box. Press 
the Shutter button all the way down and release the 
Shutter button. The camera w
 ll now 'wat' for the 
subject to smle.
3.  When the subject smles, the camera wll automatcally 
release the shutter and capture the photo.
4.

  If you want to dsable smle shootng functon, please 
press the Left button agan.
A face must be detected by the camera n order for 
smle detecton to functon correctly.
For optmal detecton results, the subject should be 
framed to occupy most of the screen space.

PLAYBACK
To vew the captured photos and vdeo clps on the LCD 
screen:
1.
  Press 
 button to go to the Playback mode. The last 
recorded photo or v
deo clp s dsplayed.
2.  Use the  Left/Right nav
 gaton buttons to scroll through 
the photos or vdeo clps stored n the nternal memory 
or memory card.
3.

  To play a selected vdeo clp, press the 
 button to 
enter the move playback mode.
Durng vdeo playback, the operatng nstructons wll ap-
pear on the screen. Press the Left/R

 button for confirmaton.

4. Use Up/Down/Left/Rght button to select a pcture or 
vdeo clp, press  button to return to the orgnal 
sze.
The Date Folder s dsplayed n order based on the 
shootng date.
If the 
 ndcator appears on the LCD, then a move 
file s currently beng dsplayed.
Press the 
 button to restore a prevew con to ts 
orgnal mage sze.
Thumbnal Vew
When  n Playback mode, press one end of the Zoom button  
() to dsplay the thumbnal of photos and vdeos on 
the screen.
1.  Use the Zoom button to sw
 tch between the 3x3, and 
4x4 and Date Folder thumbnal dsplay.
2.  When dsplayng 3x3 and 4x4, use Up/Down/Left/Rght 
button to select a pcture or vdeo clp for vew; when 
dsplayng the Date Folder, use Up/Down button to 
select the Date Folder.

  When dsplayng the Date Folder, pressng 
  button 
can enter date nformaton ndex.
