Insert SIM card
Follow these instructions to insert a SIM card. Remember to power off your tablet before inserting a 
SIM card.
Note: Your tablet’s SIM card is preinstalled. These instructions are for reference only.
 1. Open the card cover.
 2. Insert the SIM card.
 3. Close the cover after inserting the SIM card.

 l Insert gently with gold IC chip facing downward.
Note: Before inserting/removing the SIM card, please make sure the tablet is off, to protect it from 
corruption or damage. In addition, regularly removing or inserting the SIM card may cause the tablet 
to restart.
SD Card
Your tablet supports the use of an optional SD card (not includedyf to expand its storage capacity. It 
supports cards up to 64 GB. Some cards may not operate properly with your tablet.
SD Card Cautions
Data: Information stored on SD Card can become lost or changed accidently or as a result of 
damage. It is recommended that you keep a separate copy of important data. Sprint is not 
responsible for damages from data that is lost or changed.
Reading/Writing Data: Never power off while reading or writing data.
Battery Level: A low battery charge may prevent reading/writing to SD Card.
Handling SD Card: Use/store SD Cards away from the reach of infants. It may cause choking if 
swallowed.
Insert SD Card 
Follow these instructions to insert a microSD card. Remember to power off your tablet before 
inserting a microSD card. 
 1. Open the card cover.

 2. Insert the microSD card.
 3. Close the cover after inserting the microSD card.
 l Insert gently with gold IC chip facing downward.
Note: Before inserting/removing the microSD card, please make sure the tablet is off, to protect it 
from corruption or damage. In addition, regularly removing or inserting the microSD card may cause 
the tablet to restart.
Unmount the SD Card
Always unmount the SD card before removing it from your tablet.
 1. From home, tap Apps  > Settings .

 2. Tap Storage.
 3. Tap Unmount SD card > OK.
The menu option name changes from Unmount SD card to Mount SD card. 
Erase SD Card
If you want to erase data on SD card, follow the steps bellow.

 1. From home, tap Apps  > Settings .
 2. Tap Storage.
 3. Tap Erase SD card.

 4. Tap ERASE SD CARD to continue.
 5. Tap ERASE EVERYTHING to confirm.
All data on the SD card is erased, and the card is formatted for use on your tablet .

Remove SD Card
Follow these instructions to remove a microSD card. Remember to power off your tablet before 
removing a microSD card.
 1. Open the card cover.
 2. Remove the microSD card.
 3. Close the cover after inserting the microSD card.

Battery Use
This topic explains how to charge your tablet.
Battery Cautions
 n Please note your tablet is a unibody device, the back cover and battery are not removable. 
Observe the following precautions for battery use:
 n Do not attempt to open the back cover and replace the inner rechargeable Li-polymer battery. 
Please contact the dealer to replace it.
 n Do not attempt to eject, replace, or open battery.
 n Do not puncture the back cover of your device.
 n Do not burn or dispose of your device in household garbage or store it at temperature above 
50°C.
 n Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
Charge Using the AC adapter
Follow these instructions to charge your tablet’s battery using the included AC adapter.
 1. Plug the USB connector into the charger/accessory jack on the top of your tablet.

 2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the AC adapter.
 3. Plug the AC adapter into an electrical outlet. 
When using your tablet for the first time, charge the battery fully (approximately 5 hoursyf. 
Charging status (yf is indicated by the percentage on screen while the tablet is powered off. 
The percentage increases as the tablet is charged.
 4. After charging, disconnect the tablet from the charger. 
 l Unplug the AC adapter from the outlet and remove the USB cable from the tablet and the 
AC adapter.
Note: To reduce power consumption and energy waste, when battery is fully charged, disconnect 
your charger from the plug, switch off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth or background-running applications 
when not in use, reduce the backlight time, etc. 
Note: This device cannot be charged through USB computer connection. Please plug in your 
charger before first usage.
Turn Your Tablet On and Off
The instructions below explain how to turn your tablet on and off.
Turn Your Tablet On
 n Press and hold the Power/Lock key.

Your tablet will power on. Depending on the settings, you may see the lock screen.
 l See Lock and Unlock Your Screen and Lock Screen Settings for information about using the 
screen lock.
 l The first time you turn on the tablet, you will see the setup screens. See Complete the Setup 
Screens for details.
 l If your tablet is not yet activated, see Activate this Device for more information.
Turn Your Tablet Off
 1. Press and hold the Power/Lock key to open the tablet options menu.
 2. Tap Power off to turn the tablet off.
Your tablet will power off.
Your screen remains blank while your tablet is off (unless the battery is chargingyf.
