    No Te! Mains unit
    The biathlon target can also be 
    powered fro\f the \fains if desired. 
    The battery circuit is interrupted 
    \bswitched off) when the power unit 
    is connected. Therefore it is not 
    necessary to re\fove the batteries 
    when using \fains po\fwer.
    Intended use of the mains unit:
    Unilateral \fodification and/\for changing the \fains unit is no\ft per\fitted 
    for safety and certification reasons \bCE).
    Any other use than that described is not per\fitted and can lead to 
    da\faging the product or short circuits, fires or electrocution.
    The mains unit sup\yplied is intended exclusively 
    \for the Laser\bower biathlon target. Do not use it 
    \for other units. 
    For operating at mains voltage you must only 
    use the genuine ANSCHÜTZ mains unit  
    (voltage 6 Volt)!
    \blease also observe the country-specific  
    stipulations in this matter!

    							Safety instructions:
    To \faintain the technically perfect condition of the unit and to guaran-
    tee safe operation, you \fust always observe the safety instructions and 
    warnings.
    •  Ask an expert if you are not clear about the function, safety or con-
    nection of the unit.
    • Store away fro\f access by children!
    • Keep s\fall parts etc. away fro\f children and pets.
    •   In co\f\fercial buildings, co\f\fply with the accident prevention stipu-
    lations for electrical equip\fent and devices of the relevant professio-
    nal association.
    •   The hands, shoes a\fnd clothes and the floor and \fains u\fnit \fust 
    re\fain dry during use.
    •   Do not connect the \fains unit if you have brought it fro\f a cold 
    roo\f into a hot roo\f. The condensati\fon produced can destroy the 
    unit. The unit \fust be allowed to war\f up to roo\f te\fperature befo-
    re switching it on.
    • The \fains unit war\fs up in use. Ensure adequate ventilation.
    •   Do not leave the \fains unit and c\fonnected unit unsupervised during 
    operation.

    •  Pull the \fains unit fro\f the plug socket if the unit is not being used 
    for an extended period.
    • In the event of a \falfunction\f, separate the unit fro\f the plug socket.
    •   In order to separate the unit co\fpletely fro\f the \fains, separate the 
    \fains unit fro\f the plug socket or the adapter fro\f the unit.
    •   Mains units are not intended for use on hu\fans or \fani\fals.
    •   Use under adverse conditions \be.g.\f \foisture, too high hu\fidity, dust, 
    fla\f\fable gases, vapours or solvents) is not per\fitted.
    •   Take the unit out of service if: 
    – there are visible indicati\fons of da\fage, 
    – it stops functioning per\ffectly, 
    – it has been stored under unfavourable conditions or\f 
    – it has been exposed to severe loading during transport.
    •   Also observe the additional safety instructions in each chapter of this 
    operating instruction \fanual.
    \faintenance and cleaning \cof the mains unit:
    The \fains unit does\f not need any \faintenance. Never dis\fantle the 
    unit because otherwise the CE approval and the warranty/guarantee 
    beco\fes invalid. In order to prevent da\fage, it should only be re-
    paired by an expert or a specialist workshop. 
    Clean the \fains unit only with a soft non-fraying cloth. Do not use 
    any cleaning agents. Dust can be re\foved with a soft paintbrush or a 
    vacuu\f cleaner.
    Dis\bosal of the mains unit:
    Worn out and defective units \fust be taken to 
    public collection p\foints for electrical waste.
    The warranty/guarantee will become invalid \for 
    damage caused by non-observance o\f this ope-
    rating instruction manual! We accept no liability 
    \for consequential losses! We accept no liability 
    \for material damage or personal injury caused 
    by improper handling or no\yn-observance o\f the 
    sa\fety instructions. In these cases, the warranty/
    guarantee becomes invalid.

    X Open the battery compartment cover (on the rear side of the 
    remote controller) with a suitable tool.

    9 The battery compartment is now open.  
    X remove the Cr 2016 button cells [20] from the remote   
    control unit [21] (see arrow).

    8	Shooting	
     
    X switch the biathlon target on (On/Off switch [14] to "I").

    X Press the loading button [1] on the l aserPower II rifle,  
    aim and pull the trigger [7].

    9 Hits are displayed by a green light signal on the biathlon

    The hits display is reset using the remote control [21]. 
    X Point the remote control [21] at the biathlon target and   
    press the button.
     
    9 The biathlon target is reset when all the lights go out.
    8.1	 engaging	the	safety	on	the	LaserPower	II	rifle	
    The trigger safety at the side [3] (where present) can be operated 
    when the rifle is cocked. The safety is engaged when the safety 
    catch is in the rear position (direction of arrow).

    The safety on the l aserPower II rifle is released when the safety 
    catch (where present) is in the forward position (direction of   
    arrow).

    8.3	 Target	reducer	
    The target reducer [17] and the biathlon target [10] are provided 
    with Velcro pads.  
    X To fasten the target reducer [17] to the biathlon target [10], 
    press the reducer [17] on to the target [10] using light pres -
    sure (the attachment points on the two components must be 
    facing each other).
     
    9 The target reducer can be quickly attached and removed as 
    required.

    8.4	 Laser	alignment	
    The laser is factory set to a range of 10 metres.
    For varying distances, the use of a rear sight from the ansCHÜTZ 
    range of accessories is recommended. The alignment is then   
    carried out using the rear sight adjustment.

    The ansCHÜTZ l aserPower II rear sight can be adjusted both 
    vertically and horizontally.
    sighting in: The target point always responds to the setting of the 
    rear sight [2]. Moving the rear sight [2] to the right causes the 
    shot to be displaced to the right. Moving the sight upwards causes 
    the shot to be displaced upwards.

    X To access the adjusting screws, unscrew the aperture [x].

    X For vertical adjustment, loosen screw [a] on the left hand   
    side of the sight by approximately half a turn.
     
    X slide the sight [b] up or down the dovetail and tighten   
    the screw [a] again.

    side of the sight [b] by approximately half a turn.

    (not shown), to a PC.
