Re-stick the EMI tape onto the mechanism and rear housing.

Replace the mechanism cover. Re-stick the EMI foil as best you can to the rear housing.

Position the hard drive data cable on top of the chassis. Secure the cable with Kapton tape.17.

Replace the optical drive flex cable if it was removed.

Replace the optical fan.

Replace the front bezel and connect the microphone cable.

Clean and replace the glass panel29. . Note: This step is very important. Follow the procedures 
to ensure the glass is clean and free of particles.
Replace the access door.

Run diagnostics. If Apple Hardware Test comes up with an error, refer to the 31. Apple Hardware 
Test error code chart in the Troubleshooting chapter.
Check all cable and sensor connections and test again.

Removing the Rear Cover
With all of the preliminary steps performed, the rear cover is the remaining assembly. Note: 
the photo above happens to show the chassis on the rear housing. The rear housing does not 
include the chassis.

Removing the Stand 
1. Remove the seven T10 clutch-to-stand screws. 
 
Lift the stand off the two pins on the mechanism. Carefully separate the stand from the 2.  
clutch mechanism and rear housing.
