Beforethemachineisused,thethree transportprotectiondevicesshouldbe removedasshownbelow. Eachtransportprotectiondeviceconsistsof ascrew,awasherandarubberspacer.After theprotectiondevicehasbeenremoved,the rubberspaceractsasaplugfortheholesfor thedeviceandalsoasadamper. •Firstremovethescrewsandremovethe washers. •Thenremovetherubberspacers. •Finally,therubberspacersshouldbe turnedoverandreplacedinthetransport protectiondeviceholes. Inordertopreventthemachinefrombeing damagedwhenitistransported,usethe transportprotectiondevice,whichlocksthe entireinnercompartmentinplace.Ifthe transportprotectiondeviceismissing,you canorderonefromyourretailer. Positioningthewashingmachine Thewashingmachinecanbeinstalledasa built-inorfreestandingunit.Positionthe machinesothattheelectricalplugiseasily accessible. A.Built-in Thewashingmachinecanbeinstalledunder abenchtopwithaworkingheightof870-900 mm.Leave20mmaroundthewholemachine, particularlybetweentherearedgeofthetop coverandthewallbehindit. B.Freestanding Thewashingmachinecanbepositioned besideorunderadryer. Adjustingthefeet Keepthenoisethatthemachineproducesto aminimumbyadjustingthefeetsothatthe machineissteadyandbalancedonthefloor. Tightenthelocknuts. Connectiontowatersupply Waterconnectionshouldbecarriedoutbya qualifiedprofessional.Connectthemachine usingtheaccompanyingsupplyhose.Water pressureshouldbe0.1–1MPa(approx. 1–10kp/cm2;10-100N/cm2).Thereshould beastopcockortaponthewaterpipe. Ifthepipesarenewlyinstalled,itmaybewise toflushthemthroughsothatanydirtis washedaway.Otherwise,dirtcanclogthe filterinthemachine’swaterintakeandcutoff cutofforreducewaterflowtothemachine. Drainageconnection Themachineissuppliedwithaconnected drainagehosethatcanbefastenedtoa laundrysinkorsimilar.Theheightmustbe 600-900mmabovefloorlevel. Thelowerposition(600mm)isalways preferable.Ensurethatthedrainagehosehas nokinks. Themachinecanalsobeconnectedtothe drainviaaspigotconnection.Inthiscasethe hoseshouldalsobe600-900mmabovethe floor.Theinternaldiameteroftheholeshould beatleast18mm. •Cutthenipple •Removeburrsfromthehole. Programplateinmultiplelanguages Certainmachinesincludedouble-sided programplatesindifferentlanguages(see thedetergentcompartmentandthebagwith theuserhandbookthatcomeswiththe machine). Youcanreplaceorturnthecardyourselfto getthelanguagemostappropriateforyou. Toremovethecardfromitsholderinthe detergentcompartment,pressthecardwith yourthumbandpushitsideways(see picture). Thecardwillthenbendslightlyandyoucan easilyremoveit.Tofitthecard,benditslightly inordertoeasilyinsertitintotheholderinthe detergentcompartment. 25 Installation
