Basic operation
The procedure below is a general guideline for basic operation. It is particularly 
useful if you are new to the camera.
1. Flip to open the LCD display and press   to turn the power on. 
2. Set the mode dial to   or other desired shooting mode. See Mode dial on 
page 24 for details.
3. Adjust the LCD display position properly and compose the image.

Viewing and deleting files
Viewing files
In Playback mode, you can view captured images or recorded videos. 
1. Press . 
2. Use the wheel dial or press   or   to view other images/videos.

Selecting files for deletion

This feature allows you to set the self-timer settings.

Auto (Smart scene) mode
In this mode, the camera automatically selects the best scene mode from Auto 
( ), Portrait ( ), Landscape ( ), Backlight ( ), Night Portrait ( ), Night 
Scene ( ), Macro ( ), Sports ( ), Text ( ), and Foliage ( ).

shorter shutter speed to catch a fast-moving object.
