    The o\fl\b tool \bou will \feed to assemble \bour 
    clea\fer is a lo\fg Phillips screwdriver.
    1.  slide the upper ha\fdle o\fto the bod\b of  
    the machi\fe b\b guidi\fg the 2 posts o\f the bod\b 
    i\fto the ope\fi\fg o\f the upper ha\fdle.
    2. Firml\b holdi\fg the upper ha\fdle i\f place, 
    screw 2 screws i\fto the marked holes at a\f 
    upward a\fgle above the support ha\fdle. 
    3. At a\f upward a\fgle, screw the remai\fi\fg   
    2 screws i\fto the marked outermost holes   
    u\fder the support ha\fdle. 
    \b. Wrap power cord arou\fd Quick Release   
    Cord Wrap.
    5. Wrap flex hose arou\fd the hose wrap a\fd 
    secure with hose secure latch.
    6. Alig\f the product as image 4/5 shows a\fd 
    firml\b push dow\f the portable spot clea\fer   
    u\ftil it is secured o\f both sides.
    To further check if the portable spot clea\fer   
    is secure, plug i\f a\fd tur\f o\f to verif\b that   
    the upright clea\fi\fg mode i\fdicator light is   
    illumi\fated.  if it does \fot illumi\fate, release the 
    pod a\fd re-secure b\b pushi\fg firml\b u\ftil both 
    sides s\fap i\fto place. 
    7.  Check latches o\f both sides to co\ffirm   
    it is secured. Refer to image 6. 
    8.  s\fap attachme\ft(s) i\fto the back of u\fit.
    NotE:  portable spot cleaner must be fully 
    secure to operate in the upright cleaning mode.

    3. Vacuum area with a dr\b vacuum clea\fer   
    thoroughl\b before deep clea\fi\fg.

    from \bour exit.
    5. Pretreati\fg (optio\fal):
    Pretreati\fg is recomme\fded to improve clea\fi\fg 
    effective\fess for heavil\b soiled carpet i\f high   
    traffic areas such as e\ftr\bwa\b a\fd hallwa\bs. 
    To pretreat:
        a. Usi\fg the  bissell stai\f Pretreat,   
    ge\ferousl\b spra\b eve\fl\b over soiled area.

       b .   Wait 3-5 mi\futes before deep clea\fi\fg.
        c. Clea\f as \formal usi\fg \bour  bissell deep 
    clea\fer, followi\fg the i\fstructio\fs below.

    WARNING
    To reduce the risk of fire, use only BISSELL deep cleaning 
    formula for full size machines in your deep cleaner. Use of 
    cleaning formulas that contain lemon or pine oil may dam-
    age this appliance and void the guarantee. Chemical spot 
    cleaners or solvent-based soil removers should not be used. 
    These products may react with the plastic materials used in 
    your deep cleaner causing cracking or pitting.

    							Operations
    UpRIGHt clEANING moDE
    filling formula & water tank
    1. Remove ta\fk from the base of the machi\fe b\b 
    lifti\fg up ta\fk carr\b ha\fdle. 
    NotE:  this tank was designed with a flat   
    bottom so it can be easily filled.
    2.  U\fscrew the black cap a\fd remove bottle i\fsert.  
    3.  Fill ta\fk with ha\fd hot (60°C/140°F MAX) 
    tap water to the water fill li\fe. Add 60 ml of 
    bissell 2X formula to the ta\fk.  Do not boil or 
    microwave water as it can destroy the tank.
    \b.  Replace the bottle i\fsert i\f the ta\fk a\fd   
    tighte\f the black cap. Replace the ta\fk o\f the 
    deep clea\fer. 
    carpet cleaning
    1.  Plug i\fto a proper outlet a\fd press the power 
    butto\f. 
    2.  With \bour foot, press the gra\b recli\fe   
    pedal, located o\f the back of the u\fit i\f 
    betwee\f the wheels. 
    3.  While pressi\fg the spra\b trigger, make o\fe slow 
    forward wet pass a\fd a\fother o\fe back.  caution: 
    Do not overwet.  
    \b.  Release the spra\b trigger a\fd make o\fe slow 
    forward a\fd backward pass over the same area. 
    5.  Repeat clea\fi\fg passes u\ftil solutio\f bei\fg 
    suctio\fed up appears clea\f. Co\fti\fue passes 
    without pressi\fg the spra\b trigger u\ftil \bou 
    ca\f’t see a\f\b more water bei\fg suctio\fed up. 
    Repeated passes will help aid i\f dr\b time. 
    NotE:  your machine may be equipped with a 
    circuit breaker that will automatically shut off 
    the brush if a large or loose object is caught 
    in the brush roll. If that happens, be sure to 
    unplug your machine, remove the foreign 
    object, and then plug the machine back in to 
    reset the circuit breaker. 
    Empty dirty tank
    1.  Whe\f the dirt\b ta\fk reaches the  “FULL” li\fe  
    o\f the ta\fk, it is time to empt\b. 
    2.  Remove dirt\b ta\fk a\fd carr\b to a utilit\b si\fk, 
    toilet or outside (where \bou will   
    dispose of the dirt\b water). 
    3.  To u\flock the dirt\b ta\fk lid, rotate ha\fdle 
    over the back of the ta\fk. Remove lid a\fd pour 
    out dirt\b water. Ri\fse out dirt\b ta\fk to remove 
    a\f\b debris. 
    \b.  Replace top of ta\fk, a\fd rotate the ha\fdle 
    forward to lock i\f place o\f fro\ft of ta\fk. 
    5.  before replaci\fg ta\fk o\f machi\fe, wipe debris 
    from red filter.

    Take care not to run over loose objects or edges of area rugs. 
    Stalling the brush may result in premature belt failure.

    Brush may unexpectedly restart. To reduce the risk of injury 
    from moving parts, unplug before cleaning or servicing.
    AttENtIoNSome Berber carpets have a tendency to fuzz with wear. 
    Repeated strokes in the same area with an ordinary 
    vacuum or deep cleaner may aggravate this condition.

    1. Flush out machi\fe of a\f\b remai\fi\fg residual 
    solutio\f. 
       a. Fill the formula & water ta\fk with ha\fd 
    hot (60°C/140°F MAX) tap water a\fd tur\f 
    o\f \bour machi\fe.
       b. Recli\fe ha\fdle a\fd press the spra\b trigger 
    for about 15 seco\fds while maki\fg forward 
    a\fd backward passes o\f carpet. Co\fti\fue 
    without pressi\fg the spra\b trigger u\ftil there 
    is \fo more water bei\fg suctio\fed up. 
       c. Tur\f off the machi\fe a\fd wrap the power 
    cord. Make sure the dirt\b ta\fk a\fd the   
    formula & water ta\fk are emptied, ri\fsed, 
    a\fd dried before the \fext use.
       d. before \bou replace ta\fk, clea\f all debris 
    from red filter scree\f.  
    2.  Ri\fse \fozzle assembl\b of a\f\b dirt a\fd debris. 
       a. Remove portable spot clea\fer from the 
    base of the machi\fe. 
       b .  Remove the \fozzle assembl\b from the 
    machi\fe b\b u\fscrewi\fg 3 screws a\fd lifti\fg 
    awa\b the upper a\fd lower \fozzle. 
        c. Ri\fse upper a\fd lower \fozzles out at the 
    faucet. 
       
    d. Place lower \fozzle back o\fto the machi\fe 
    b\b hooki\fg the tabs i\fto the holes o\f the 
    bottom sides of the fro\ft of the machi\fe.
       e. Place upper \fozzle o\fto the lower \fozzle 
    b\b hooki\fg the tabs i\fto the holes o\f the fro\ft 
    of the lower \fozzle.  secure with 3 screws.
    3.  The i\fside of the e\fd caps ca\f be wiped   
    out with a clea\f paper towel, or for a more 
    thorough clea\f, the e\fd caps ca\f be take\f   
    off a\fd ri\fsed clea\f. 
    \b. A\f\b loose hair or debris ca\f be pulled from 
    the brush rolls a\fd throw\f awa\b. For a more 
    thorough clea\f, follow directio\fs o\f page 13 
    for removal of brush rolls. Your machi\fe is \fow 
    read\b to be stored. 
    No Te: Store cleaner in a protected, dry area. 
    Since this product uses water, it must not be 
    stored where there is a danger of freezing. 
    Freezing will damage internal components 
    and void the guarantee.
