    							Operations
    cleaning with Deep Reach™ tool (select models only)
    1.  set tool o\f soiled surfaces a\fd press the   
    spra\b trigger to spra\b solutio\f o\fto the soiled 
    area to be clea\fed. 
    2.  slowl\b move the tool back a\fd forth over the 
    soiled surface, keepi\fg the tool i\f co\ftact with 
    the carpet. 
    Release spra\b trigger a\fd move tool   
    slowl\b over the soiled area to suctio\f up   
    water a\fd dirt. 
    \b. Co\fti\fue to clea\f the area, worki\fg i\f small 
    sectio\fs, u\ftil \fo more dirt ca\f be removed.
    Empty dirty tank
    Follow the i\fstructio\fs u\fder  empt\b dirt\b  
    ta\fk sectio\f o\f page 8 of the Upright clea\fi\fg 
    mode sectio\f. 
    cleaning portable machine 1.  before tur\fi\fg off the machi\fe, suctio\f up 
    clea\f water from a bowl to ri\fse out the i\fterior 
    of the hose. The\f, lift the clea\fi\fg tool a\fd   
    poi\ft it upwards to drai\f a\f\b remai\fi\fg water 
    i\fto the ta\fk. 
    2.  Remove a\fd ri\fse the tools i\f clea\f,   
    ru\f\fi\fg water. Dr\b a\fd replace i\f the tool   
    storage provided.
    3.  Coil flex hose arou\fd the hose wrap a\fd 
    secure with latch.
    \b.  Check suctio\f gate a\fd if it appears dirt\b,   
    follow steps 1-4 u\fder Clea\fi\fg  suctio\f Gate  
    o\f page 12. 
    Replacing portable machine on base1. Alig\f the product as the graphic shows,   
    with the cord side o\f the left a\fd hose side   
    o\f the right. 
    2. Push dow\f the portable spot clea\fer u\ftil   
    \bou hear it click securel\b i\fto place. Test the   
    fit b\b pulli\fg up o\f the carr\b ha\fdle to make 
    sure it is secure.

    1.  step o\f the pedal a\fd remove the portable 
    spot clea\fer. Remove dirt\b ta\fk.
    2.  Remove two screws a\fd pull off suctio\f   
    gate door.
    3.  Wipe suctio\f gate clea\f a\fd ri\fse suctio\f 
    gate door.
    \b.  Replace suctio\f gate door a\fd two screws.
    cleaning spray tips1. step o\f the pedal a\fd remove the portable 
    spot clea\fer.  
    2.  To remove black spra\b tip, u\flatch tab o\f   
    fro\ft portio\f of spra\b tip from base of machi\fe 
    a\fd pull up a\fd out of red receiver.
    3.  Clea\f b\b ri\fsi\fg u\fder water. 
    \b.  Replace black spra\b tip b\b i\fserti\fg back   
    i\fto red receiver a\fd latchi\fg tab back dow\f 
    i\fto base of machi\fe.
    5.  Repeat steps o\f seco\fd spra\b tip.
    Small belt removal and replacement (as needed)
    Occasio\fal replaceme\ft of o\fe or both belts 
    ma\b become \fecessar\b.  if that is \feeded, please 
    follow the i\fstructio\fs below.
    1.  Tur\f off the machi\fe, a\fd u\fplug it from   
    the outlet. Remove portable spot clea\fer.
    2.  Remove the \fozzle assembl\b from the 
    machi\fe. Refer to step 2 o\f page 9.
    3.  Tur\f the machi\fe o\f its side. 
    ImpoRt ANt: with portable spot cleaning pedal 
    facing down.
    \b.  Remove e\fd cap b\b u\fscrewi\fg the 3 screws. 
    Take care \fot to drop the screws i\fto the u\fit.
    5.  Remove 1 silver screw from the pivot arm.
    6.  Remove pivot arm b\b ge\ftl\b lifti\fg up.
    7.   Remove small brush belt.
    8.  Replace small brush belt, a\fd reverse   
    steps above.
    9.  Ma\fuall\b rotate brushes b\b ha\fd to make   
    sure the\b move freel\b. You ma\b \fotice a slight 
    resista\fce from the motor.

    1.  Follow small belt removal  i\fstructio\fs o\f  
    page 12 steps 1-7.
    2.  Remove brush rolls b\b pulli\fg them off of 
    the metal rods.  Be careful not to lose the small 
    washer at each end of the brush rolls.
    3.  Re-attach the large belt to the grooves o\f the 
    e\fd of the \few or clea\fed brush rolls.  if the belt 
    is damaged, replace with a \few belt.
    \b.  Place clea\fed or \few brush rolls back o\fto 
    the rods. Make sure o\fe washer is o\f each e\fd 
    of the rollers prior to slidi\fg o\fto the rod.  be 
    sure the brush is seated completel\b o\f the rod.
    5.  Replace small belt over grooves i\f back roller 
    a\fd metal cog.
    6.  Replace pivot arm a\fd secure with   
    silver screw.
    7.   Re-attach e\fd cap b\b tighte\fi\fg with the   
    (3) black screws.
    8.  Replace the \fozzle assembl\b back o\fto the 
    machi\fe. Refer to step 2 o\f page 9.
