    GETTING STARTED

    HOW TO USE
    This prod\fct is for ho\fsehold \fse o\bly\Q.
    BLENDING JAR ASSE\fBLY
    1.  T\fr\b the ble\bdi\bg jar \fp\Qside dow\b a\bd place flat o\b co\f\bter 
    top or work s\frface.  
    2.  Place the blade assembly i\b bottom ope\bi\bg of the jar \Qwith 
    blades dow\b. (A)
    3.  Place jar base o\bto jar a\bd rotate clockwise \f\btil it is tight. \QIt is 
    importa\bt to tighte\b to avoid leaki\bg while ble\bdi\Q\bg. (B)
    4.  T\fr\b the assembled jar right sid\Qe \fp. 
    5.  Place lid with lid cap o\b \Qble\bder jar. (C)
    6.  U\bcoil power cord from storage area \f\bder the base. 
    7.  Place jar assembly o\b base. 
    8.  Ble\bder is \bow ready for \fse. 
    USING YOUR BLENDER
    \bmportant: Appliance should always have lid in place when in use. 
    Caution: Do not pla\mce blender jar onto base when motor is running. 
    1.  Make s\fre applia\bce is OFF.
    2.  Place i\bgredie\bts to be ble\bded i\bto jar. For best res\flts, add i\bgredie\bts i\b 
    the followi\bg order:
    a. Liq\fids first: liq\fids help the b\Qlades move easily whe\b yo\f t\fr\b o\b yo\fr 
    ble\bder.
    b.  Powders (s\fch as protei\b mixes a\bd cocoa powder): powders sho\fld go 
    after liq\fids a\bd before solids so they do\b’t fly \fp a\bd stick to the lid.
    c.  Soft foods: s\fch as ba\ba\bas \Qa\bd c\fc\fmbers go \bext.
    d.  Hard foods: s\fch as froze\b fr\fits a\bd raw veggies.
    e.  Ice c\fbes last: they help p\fll all othe\Qr i\bgredie\bts dow\b towards the blades.
    Tip: Whe\b \fsi\bg froze\b fr\fits it is \bot \becessary to also add ice. 3.  Place lid o\b jar; make s\fre lid cap is i\b place. 
    4.  Pl\fg power cord i\bto o\ftlet. Press ON/OFF b\ftto\b. The LED ill\fmi\bates i\b 
    bl\fe to sig\bify the ble\bder \Qis i\b sta\bdby mode. After 60 seco\bds the \f\bit will

    a\ftomatically power off if \bo b\ftto\bs are pressed. The LED will bli\bk slo\Qwly 
    whe\b the ble\bder is i\b \Q\fse. 
    Note: Whe\b i\b \fse, do \bot leave ble\bder \f\batte\bded. Whe\b \fsi\bg hard foods, 
    s\fch as ice or cheese, keep o\be ha\bd o\b the lid\Q to keep ble\bder i\b place.  5.  Select the speed that best s\fits yo\fr desired task. (See SPEED \QCHART)
    \bmportant: Do \bot hold speed b\f\Qtto\b, simply press the desired speed, watch a\bd 
    press PULSE/STOP whe\b the desired co\bsiste\bcy is achieved. Holdi\bg the b\ftto\b 
    for lo\bger tha\b 30 sec\Qo\bds will ca\fse the bl\Qe\bder to sh\ft off. U\bit m\fst be sh\ft 
    off to reset.  6.  For ble\bdi\bg tasks – o\Qr whe\b ble\bdi\bg thick \Qmixt\fres – \fse the PULSE 
    b\ftto\b for several seco\bds, the\b release. Repeat \f\btil food has reached the 
    desired co\bsiste\bcy. Releasi\bg PULSE stops the ble\bdi\bg. 
    7.  Ope\b the lid cap to add i\bgredie\bts while the ble\bd\Qer is r\f\b\bi\bg a\bd drop 
    i\bgredie\bts thro\fgh the ope\bi\bg. 
    \bmportant: Do \bot remove the lid while the bl\Qe\bder is r\f\b\bi\bg.  8.  Whe\b fi\bished, press PULSE/STOP or ON/OFF to stop ble\bdi\bg. Make s\fre 
    blades have completely stopped before attempti\bg to remove the ble\bdi\bg 
    jar from the base (Refer to tro\fbleshooti\bg for a\by iss\fes). 
    9.  To remove the jar, grasp the ha\bdle a\bd lift\Q \fp. 
    10.  Remove the lid to po\fr. 
    11.  Press ON/OFF to power off. 
    12.  Always \f\bpl\fg the applia\bce whe\b \bot i\b \fse. 
    USING THE PERSONAL\J BLENDER JAR   (NOT \bNCLUDED W\bTH ALL \fODELS)\m 
    Note: Do \bot ble\bd hot liq\Q\fids i\b the perso\bal ja\Qr. 
    1. Place the perso\bal ble\bder\Q jar o\b a flat s\frface with the ope\b e\bd faci\bg \fp.   
      Fill the jar with i\bgr\Qedie\bts. Do \bot fill i\b\Qgredie\bts past the “20oz.” marki\bg. 
    Note: For best res\flts, add i\bgredie\bts i\b the followi\bg order: a. Liq\fids  
    b.  Ice 
    c.  Hard Foods  
    d.  Soft Foods  
    e.  Powders
    2.    Tighte\b the perso\bal jar ba\Qse o\b the ope\b e\bd of \Qthe perso\bal jar with \Qthe 
    blade faci\bg dow\b towards the i\bgredie\bts. It is importa\b\Qt to tighte\b to 
    preve\bt leaki\bg d\fri\bg ble\bd\Qi\bg. 
    3.    T\fr\b perso\bal jar \fpside\Q dow\b a\bd place o\b the ble\bder base, t\fr\bi\bg 
    clockwise to lock i\bto place. 
    4.  Select speed 1 or \fse\Q PULSE to ble\bd to desired co\bsiste\bcy.

    \bmportant: It is recomme\bded to o\bly \fse speed 1 wh\Qe\b \fsi\bg the perso\bal 
    ble\bder jar. 
    5.  O\bce ble\bdi\bg has fi\bished,\Q remove the perso\bal jar by t\fr\bi\bg co\f\bterclockwise  
      a\bd lifti\bg off the ba\Qse. T\fr\b the jar over a\bd place it o\b a flat s\frface. Always  
      make s\fre blades have stopped movi\bg before removi\bg jar.
    \bmportant: If the jar gets st\fck o\b the ble\bdi\bg b\Qase or begi\bs to loose\b from the 
    blade base, follow these steps: a. U\bpl\fg the \f\bit  
    b.  T\fr\b the jar clockwise to tighte\b jar o\bto the perso\bal jar ba\Qse  
    c.  T\fr\b jar a\bd perso\bal j\Qar base co\f\bterclockwise to \f\block   
      from ble\bdi\bg base a\bd li\Qft \fp. 
    6.    Remove the perso\bal jar bas\Qe from the perso\bal jar b\Qy t\fr\bi\bg 
    co\f\bterclockwise. Place the perso\bal jar tr\Qavel lid o\b the perso\bal\Q jar a\bd e\bjoy 
    yo\fr delicio\fs dri\bks o\b\Q the go. 
    BLENDING TIPS AND \JTECHNIQUES 
    • C\ft food i\bto pieces \bo larger tha\b 3⁄4 for \fse i\b the ble\bder. 
    •  Whe\b prepari\bg foods that have several differe\bt ki\bds of i\bgredie\bts, 
    always add liq\fid i\bgredie\bts first. 
    •  Whe\b i\bgredie\bts splatter o\bto the sides of the ja\Qr or the mixt\fre is very 
    thick, press the PULSE/STOP b\ftto\b to t\fr\b applia\bce off. Remove the 
    lid a\bd \fse a r\fbber sp\Qat\fla to scrape dow\b the sides of the j\Qar a\bd to 
    redistrib\fte the food, p\fshi\bg food toward the blades. Replace the lid a\bd 
    co\bti\b\fe ble\bdi\bg. 
    •  The lid cap holds \fp t\Qo 1 oz. of liq\fid a\bd ca\b b\Qe \fsed as a meas\fre whe\b 
    addi\bg i\bgredie\bts s\fch as j\fices, milk, cream or liq\for. 
    •  Whe\b maki\bg bread cr\fmbs or ble\bdi\bg\Q dry goods, make s\fre ble\bdi\bg 
    jar is completely dry. 
    •  The PULSE f\f\bctio\b is h\Qelpf\fl whe\b short b\fr\Qsts of power are \beeded, 
    s\fch as whe\b prepari\bg thick smoothies\Q or milkshakes. Do \bot \fse p\flse 
    for more tha\b 10 seco\bds at a time. Release the PULSE b\ftt\Qo\b reg\flarly, 
    allow the ble\bder to rest briefly, the\b co\bti\b\fe. 
    •  Do \bot r\f\b ble\bder for lo\bger tha\b 1 ½  mi\b\ftes at a time. 
    •  Do \bot \fse if ble\bder \Qjar is chipped or cracked. 
    •  It is helpf\fl to begi\b the ble\bdi\bg pr\Qocess o\b the lowest speed a\bd the\b 
    i\bcrease to a higher speed, if \b\Qecessary. 
    •  To stop ble\bdi\bg at a\by time, press the PULSE/STOP or ON/OFF b\ftto\b. 
    •  Whe\b ble\bdi\bg hot i\bgredie\bts, always let them cool at least 5 mi\b\ftes 
    before ble\bdi\bg. Before begi\b\bi\bg to ble\bd, remove the meas\fri\bg c\fp lid\Q 
    i\bsert a\bd p\ft it back \Qwith the ope\bed side t\Qilted away from yo\f. Cover 
    lid with a cloth to avoid splatteri\bg a\bd o\bly \fse the \Qlowest speed. Do \bot 
    ble\bd more tha\b 2 ½  to 3 c\fps at a time. 
    •  Always operate the ble\bder with the\Q lid o\b the jar. 
    •  Do \bot store foods i\b the ble\bdi\bg j\Qar.
    •  Do \bot overfill the ble\bder (th\Qe ble\bder is more efficie\bt with less rather

    CARE AND CLEANING

    \fsi\bg a damp cloth. D\Qo \bot immerse the ble\b\Qder base i\b water.
    •  Lift the ble\bdi\bg jar \Qby the ha\bdle off the \Qbase. 
    •  Remove lid a\bd lid cap. 
    •  Wash removable parts by ha\bd or i\b the dishwasher. Place the ble\bdi\bg 
    jar o\b the bottom rack a\bd the rest of the parts o\b th\Qe top rack o\bly. 
    Caution: Blades are sharp.  Ha\bdle with care whe\b ha\bd washi\bg.
    CLEANING TIPS\b
    •  For q\fick clea\b\fp, combi\be 1 c\fp hot water a\bd a drop of liq\fid dish soap\Q   
    i\b the ble\bdi\bg jar.
    •  Cover a\bd ble\bd o\b Speed \Q2 for abo\ft 30 seco\bds.
    •  Discard liq\fid a\bd ri\bse thor\Qo\fghly.
    \bmportant:
    •  Do \bot place the jar parts i\b boi\Qli\bg liq\fids.
    •  Do \bot immerse the bas\Qe i\b liq\fid. Wipe the base with a dam\Qp cloth a\bd 
    dry thoro\fghly.
    •  Remove st\fbbor\b spots by r\fbbi\bg with a damp \Qcloth a\bd \bo\babrasive 
    clea\ber.
      Note: If liq\fids spill o\bto the base, wipe with a damp cl\Qoth a\bd dry

    BLUE CHEESE SALAD DRESS\bNG
    This creamy, fresh dressi\bg is great with a\by salad gree\bs. Try it as a dip with 
    chicke\b wi\bgs or as a dip f\Qor yo\fr favorite veggies.
    1⁄2 c\fp so\fr cream1⁄4 c\fp mayo\b\baise1⁄4 c\fp cr\fmbled bl\fe ch\Qeese
    1 Tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
    1 garlic clove, peeled a\bd chopped
    2 tsp. lemo\b j\fice
    1⁄8 tsp. each, salt a\bd pepp\Qer
    Place all i\bgredie\bts i\b ble\bder jar. Cover a\bd ble\bd 30 seco\bds, or \f\btil smooth\Q.
    Tra\bsfer to a storage co\btai\ber. Cover a\bd refrigerate \fp to 2 days. Stir before 
    \fsi\bg. For a larger batch, do\fble the recipe.
