     Aspect ratio M
    The image’s aspect ratio can be set to [ 3:2], [4:3], [ 16:9], or [ 1:1].
The area surrounding the Live Vi ew image is masked in black when
    the following aspect ratios are set: [ 4:3] [16:9] [ 1:1].
JPEG images will be saved with the set aspect ratio. RAW images
will always be saved with the [ 3:2] aspect ratio. Since the aspect
ratio information is appended to the RAW image, the image can be
generated in the respective aspect ratio when you process the RAW
image with the camera and the provided software.

     Exposure simulation N
Exposure simulation simulates and displays how the brightness of
the actual image (exposure) will look.
K Enable (g)The displayed image brightness will be close to the actual
brightness (exposure) of the resulting image. If you set exposure
compensation, the image bri ghtness will change accordingly.
KDuring eNormally, the image is display ed at the standard brightness to
make the Live View image easy to see. The image will be
displayed close to the actual brig htness (exposure) of the resulting
image only while you hold down the depth-of-field preview button.
K Disable ( E)The image is displayed at the standard brightness to make the Live
View image easy to see. Even if you set exposure compensation,
image is displayed at the standard brightness.
If you set an expanded ISO speed setting as [Maximum] in [ISO speed
range ], Live View shooting will be po ssible under darker conditions.
Even if a low ISO speed is set, noise may be noticeable in the displayed
Live View image under low light. However, when you shoot, the image
recorded will have minimal noise. (T he image quality of the Live View

Silent LV shooting N•Mode 1The shooting operation noise is qui eter than with normal shooting.
Continuous shooting is also possible. If < i> is set, you can shoot
at a maximum continuous shoot ing speed of approx. 4.1 fps.
•Mode 2When the shutter button is pressed completely, only one shot will
be taken. While you keep holding down the shutter button, the
camera operation will be suspended. Then when you return to the
shutter button’s halfway positi on, the camera operation will
resume. The shooting noise is thereby minimized. Even if
continuous shooting is set, only a single shot will be taken.
    • DisableBe sure to set it to [Disable] if you use a TS-E lens (other than
those listed in below) for shifting or tilting the lens or if you
use an Extension tube. If [ Mode 1] or [Mode 2 ] is set, the standard
exposure may not be obtained or an irregular exposure may result.
If you use flash, silent shooting w ill not be possible regardless of the
[ Silent LV shoot. ] setting.
When using a non-Canon flash unit, set it to [Disable ]. The flash will not
fire if it is set to [ Mode 1] or [Mode 2].
If [Mode 2 ] is set and you use remote c ontrol shooting (p.167), the
