Self-diagnostic (error) messages appear on the touch panel display at the following times: When printing cannot be performed because of an operational error. When you need to make a judgment or take some action during scanning or printing. Add paper. Cause The machine has run out of paper. No more prints can be made. The paper drawer is not correctly inserted. Remedy Load paper. (See ‘Loading Paper,’ on p. 5-2.) Insert the paper drawer as far as it will go. (See ‘Loading Paper,’ on p. 5-2.) Load A4-size paper. Cause The paper drawer loaded with the best paper size, selected by the Automatic Paper selection mode, is not inserted into the machine. Remedy Load the indicated paper size in a paper drawer.
