Loading Documents in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder)
Note
•
To scan a document at optimum quality, load it on the platen glass.
1.
Make sure that any original has been removed from the platen glass.
2.
Open the document tray.
3.
Insert the document in the document tray until you hear a beep sound.
Load the document WITH THE SIDE TO SCAN FACING UP in the document tray.

Replacing a FINE CartridgeWhen remaining ink cautions or errors occur, the message will appear on the LCD to inform you of the error.
Take appropriate action according to the message.

Replacing Procedure When you need to replace a FINE cartridge, follow the procedure below.
1.
Make sure that the power is turned on.
2.
Open the front cover (A).

Caution•
Do not hold the FINE cartridge holder to stop or move it forcibly. Do not touch the FINEcartridge holder until it stops completely.
Important
•
The inside of the machine may be stained with ink. Be careful not to stain your hands orclothing when replacing the FINE cartridge. You can easily wipe off the ink from the inside of
the machine with tissue paper or the like.
•
Do not touch the metallic parts or other parts inside the machine.
•
If the paper output cover is left open for more than 10...

•Discard the empty FINE cartridge according to the local laws and regulations regarding disposalof consumables.6.
Take a new FINE cartridge out of its package and remove the protective tape (D) gently.

If you shake a FINE cartridge, ink may spill out and stain your hands and the surrounding area.
Handle a FINE cartridge carefully.

Insert the FINE cartridge gently so that it does not hit the electrical contacts on the FINE
cartridge holder.

Push the FINE cartridge in and up firmly until it snaps into place.
