    1.Beforeassemblybesurethatthe 
    QuickConnect(Q.C.)threadshavea

    present,wrapthethreadedportionwith 
    Teflontape. 
    2.AttachtheQ.C.assemblytotheaircompressorby 
    aligningtheQ.C.threadstotheregulatoronthemanifold. 
    Becertaintoalignthethreadsbeforetighteningtoprevent 
    threaddamage. 
    3.Theassemblyshouldturnclockwise1to1.5revolutions 
    afterhand-tighteningwitha13/16thssizewrench.Toprevent 
    damageandleaks,donot 
    over-tighten. 
    ToInstalltheAirIntakeFilter 
    Removetheairintakefilterfromthe 
    polybagandthreaditontothehead 
    ofthecompressorasshown. 
    Donotattempttostarttheaircompressorwithoutfirstadding 
    oiltothecrankcase.Seriousdamagecanresultunlessfilled 
    withoil.Thepumpisshippedwithoutoilfromthefactory. 
    Onlyusenon-detergentoilssincemulti-viscositymotoroils

    dry,andwellventilatedenvironment.Theunitshouldhave 
    atminimum,12inchesofspaceoneachside.Theairfilter

    thedrainvalvetopreventdebrisbuildupinthevalve, Whendrainingthetank,alwaysuseearandeyeprotection. 
    Drainthetankinasuitablelocation;condensationwillbe 
    presentinmostcasesofdraining. 
    Waterthatremainsinthetankduringstoragewillcorrode 
    andweakentheairtankwhichcouldcausethetankto 
    rupture.Toavoidseriousinjury,besuretodrainthetank

    thehoursofoperationandtheworkingenvironment.Air 
    compressorsusedinanextremelydirtyand/orhostile 
    environmentwillrequireagreaterfrequencyofall 
    maintenancechecks. Theaircompressorshouldbeturnedoffandunplugged 
    fromthepowersourcebeforeanymaintenanceis 
    performedaswellastheairbledfromthetankandthe 
    unitallowedtimetocool.Personalinjuriescouldoccur 
    frommovingparts,electricalsources,compressedairor 
    hotsurfaces. 
    OilChanging 
    Forchangingthepump0il,besuretodothefollowing: 
    1.Turntheunitoffandunplugthepowercordfromthe 
    receptacle. 
    2.Allowthecompressortimetocoolifithasbeenin 
    operation. 
    3.Openthedrainvalvetobleedallairfromthetank. 
    4.Closethedrainvalve. 
    5.Removetheoilfillcaponthepump. 
    6.Removethesightglasswithaboxendwrenchor 
    socket.Draintheoilintoasuitablecontainerand 
    disposeofproperly.Thecompressormayneedtobe 
    tippedslightlytowardsthedrainholetoallowallofthe 
    oiltodrain. 7.Reattachthesightglass.Note:Torquethesightglass 
    10-12inchIbs.whenre-assembling.Besurethegasket 
    isbetweenthesightglassandthepumpcrankcase. 
    8.Refillthecompressorpumpwithanaircompressoroil 
    suchasSAE-30non-detergent(APICG/CDHeavy 
    Duty)oilatslowintervalsuntiltheoilreachesthecenter 
    oftheredcircleinthesightglass.UseaSAE-10during 
    extremewinterconditions. 
    Storage 
    Forstoringtheaircompressor,besuretodothefollowing: 
    1.Turntheunitoffandunplugthepowercordfromthe 
    receptacle. 
    2.Removeallairhoses,accessories,andairtoolsfrom 
    theaircompressor. 
    3.Performthedailymaintenanceschedule. 4.Openthedrainvalvetobleedallairfromthetank. 
    5.Closethedrainvalve. 
    6.Storetheaircompressorinacleananddrylocation.  
    						
    							  
    TroubleshootingGuide 
    Theaircompressorshouldbeturnedoffandunpluggedfromthepowersourcebeforeany 
    maintenanceisperformedaswellastheairbledfromthetankandtheunitallowedtimetocool. 
    Personalinjuriescouldoccurfrommovingparts,electricalsources,compressedair,orhotsurfaces. 
    PROBLEMPOSSIBLECORRECTION 
    AirleaksatthecheckvalveAdefectivecheckvalveresultsinaconstantairleakatthepressurereliefvalve 
    oratthepressurereliefvalve,whenthereispressureinthetankandthecompressorisshutoff.Drainthetank, 
    thenremoveandcleanorreplacethecheckvalve. 
    AirleaksbetweenheadandBesureofpropertorqueonheadbolts.Ifleakremains,contactaservicetechnician. 
    cylinder. 
    Airleakfromsafetyvalve.Operatethesafetyvalvemanuallybypullingonthering.Ifthevalvecontinuesto 
    leakwhenintheclosedposition,itshouldbereplaced. 
    Pressurereadingonthe 
    regulatedpressuregauge 
    dropswhenanaccessoryis 
    used. Ifthereisanexcessiveamountofpressuredropwhentheaccessoryisused, 
    replacetheregulator. 
    NOTE: 
    Adjusttheregulatedpressureunderflowconditions(whileaccessoryisbeingused), 
    Itisnormalforthegaugetoshowminimalpressurelossduringinitialuseofthe 
    tool. 
    Excessivetankpressure.MovetheAuto-On/OfflevertotheOffposition.Iftheunitdoesntshutoff,unplugit 
    fromthepowersourceandcontactaservicetechnician. 
    Motorwillnotstart.Makesurepowercordispluggedinandtheswitchison.Inspectforthepropersize 
    fuseinyourcircuitbox.Ifthefusewastripped,resetitandrestarttheunit.If 
    repeatedtrippingoccurs,replacethecheckvalveorcontactaservicetechnician. 
    Excessivemoistureinthe 
    dischargeair. 
    Airleaksfromthetankbody 
    ortankwelds. Removethewaterinthetankbydrainingaftereachuse.Highhumidity 
    environmentswillcauseexcessivecondensation.Utilizewaterfiltersonyourair 
    line. 
    NOTE: 
    Watercondensationisnotcausedbycompressormalfunction.Besurethe 
    compressorsairoutputisgreaterthanyourtoolsairconsumptionrate. 
    Neverdrillinto,weldorotherwisemodifytheairtankoritwillweaken.Thetankcan 
    ruptureorexplode.Compressorcannotberepaired.Discontinueuseoftheair
