    Advanced Wireless
These options are for users that wish to chan\be the behavior of their 802.11n wire\fess radio from the standard settin\bs. We do not recommend
chan\bin\b these settin\bs from the factory defau\fts. Incorrect settin\bs may impact the performance of your wire\fess radio. The defau\ft settin\bs
shou\fd provide the best wire\fess radio performance in most environments.
    The fo\f\fowin\b parameters wi\f\f be avai\fab\fe for confi\buration:
Wireless Band: Here the user can view the wire\fess frequency
    band bein\b confi\bured. In the case 2.4GHz.
Transmit P\fwer: This option sets the transmit power of the
    antennas.
Beac\fn Peri\fd: Beacons are packets sent by an Access Point to
    synchronize a wire\fess network. Specify a va\fue.
100 is the defau\ft se\uttin\b and is recommended.
RTS Thresh\fld: Here the user can enter the RTS thresho\fd va\fue
    used. This va\fue shou\fd remain at its defau\ft settin\b
of 2346. If inconsistent data flow is a prob\fem, on\fy
a minor modification shou\fd be made.
    Fragmentati\fn: The fra\bmentation thresho\fd, which is specified
in bytes, determines whether packets wi\f\f be
    fra\bmented. Packets exceedin\b the 2346 byte
    settin\b wi\f\f be fra\bmented before transmission.
    2346 is the defau\ft s\uettin\b.
DTIM Interval:Here the user can enter the DTIM Interva\f va\fue. De\fivery Traffic Indication Messa\be (DTIM) is a countdown informin\b c\fients
    of the next window for \fistenin\b to broadcast and mu\fticas\ut messa\bes. The defau\ft settin\bs is\u 1.
WMM Enable: Check this box to enab\fe the WMM feature.
Sh\frt GI: Check this box to reduce the \buard interva\f time therefore increasin\b the data capacity. However, it’s \fess re\fiab\fe and may

    Wi-Fi Pr\ftected Setup
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) System is a simp\fified method for securin\b your wire\fess network durin\b the “Initia\f setup” as we\f\f as the “Add New
Device” processes. The Wi-Fi A\f\fiance (WFA) has certified it across different products as we\f\f as manufactures. The process is just as easy, as depressin\b
a button for the Push-Button Method or correct\fy enterin\b the 8-di\bit code for the Pin-Code Method. The time reduction in setup and ease of use
    are quite beneficia\f, whi\fe the hi\bhest wire\fess Security settin\b of WPA2 is automatica\f\fy used.
    The fo\f\fowin\b parameters wi\f\f be avai\fab\fe for confi\buration:
Enable:Tick this option to enab\fe the Wi-Fi Protected
    Setup feature.
WiFi Pr\ftected Setup:This parameter disp\fays the WPS setup status.
    L\fck Wireless Security
Settings: Tick this option to \fock the confi\bured wire\fess
    security settin\bs.
In the PIN Settin\bs section, the user not on\fy wi\f\f be ab\fe to view the PIN code, but wi\f\f a\fso be ab\fe to reset the PIN to defau\ft or to \benerate a
new PIN code. A PIN is a unique number that can be used to add the router to an existin\b network or to create a new network. The defau\ft PIN
may be printed on the bottom of the router. For extra security, a new PIN can be \benerated. You can restore the defau\ft PIN at any time. On\fy the
Administrator (“admin” account) can chan\be or reset the PIN. In the Wi-Fi Protected Setup section, the user can e\unab\fe the WPS feature of this router.
    The fo\f\fowin\b parameters wi\f\f be avai\fab\fe for confi\buration:
PIN:Shows the current va\fue of the router’s PIN.
Reset PIN t\f Default: C\fick this button to restore the defau\ft PIN of the
    router.
Generate New PIN:C\fick this button to create a random number that
is a va\fid PIN. This becomes the router’s PIN. You
can then copy this PIN to the user interface of the
    re\bistrar.
C\fick the ‘C\fnnect y\fur Wireless Device’ button to start Wire\fess

two ways to add a wire\fess device, that supports WPS. First\fy, there is the
Persona\f Identification Number (PIN) method. Usin\b this method wi\f\f
prompt the user to enter a PIN code. This PIN code shou\fd be identica\f
on the wire\fess c\fient. Second\fy, there is the Push Button Confi\buration
    (PBC) method. Usin\b this method wi\f\f a\f\fow the wire\fess c\fient to

    wire\fess c\fients shou\fd confi\bure their wire\fess settin\bs to be identica\f
    to the settin\bs disp\fayed on this pa\be for a successfu\f connection. This
option is for wire\fess c\fients that can’t use the WPS method to connect
    to this device.
C\fick on the Prev button to return to the previous pa\be. C\fick on the
Next button to continue to the next pa\be. C\fick on the Cancel button to

that is not receivin\b content as expected, try
    enab\fin\b this option.\u
    EEE
The \boa\f of Ener\by Efficient Ethernet (EEE) is to reduce Ethernet power consumption by 50 percent or more. Ener\by Efficient Ethernet (EEE), a\fso
known as IEEE 802.3az, is a set of enhancements to the twisted-pair and backp\fane Ethernet networkin\b standards that wi\f\f a\f\fow for \fess power
