    find out if there is an updated firmware; if so, down\foad the 
    new firmware to your hard drive.
    After you have down\foaded the new firmware, c\fick Browse to 
    \focate the firmware update on your hard drive. C\fick Up\boad 
    to comp\fete the firmware up\brade.
    Check Automatica\b\by .Check .\fn\bine .for .Latest .Firmware.
    Version to have the router check automatica\f\fy to see if there 
    is a new firmware up\brade.
    Check Emai\b .Notification .of .Newer .Firmware .Version  to 
    have the router send an emai\f when there is a new firmware 
    avai\fab\fe.

    You can up\brade the firmware of the Router here. Make sure the firmware you want to use is on the \foca\f hard drive of the computer. C\fick on Browse

    DDNS
    The DDNS feature a\f\fows you to host a server (Web, FTP, Game Server, etc…) usin\b a domain name that you have purchased (www.whateveryournameis.
    com) with your dynamica\f\fy assi\bned IP address. Most broadband Internet Service Providers assi\bn dynamic (chan\bin\b) IP addresses. Usin\b a DDNS 
    service provider, your friends can enter in your domain name to connect to your server no matter what your IP address is.
    Dynamic  Domain  Name  System  is  a  method  of  keepin\b  a 
    domain name \finked to a chan\bin\b IP Address. Check the box 
    to enab\fe DDNS.
    Choose your DDNS provider from the drop-down menu.
    Enter  the  Host  Name  that  you  re\bistered  with  your  DDNS 
    service provider.
    Enter the Username for your DDNS account.
    Enter the Password for your DDNS account.
    Enter a time (in hours)\u.
    Disp\fays the status of your DDNS connection.

    Check the box to enab\fe DDNS for IPv6 Hosts.

    The  Pin\b  Test  is  used  to  send  Pin\b  packets  to  test  if  a 
    computer is on the Internet. Enter the IP Address that you 
    wish to Pin\b, and c\fick Ping.

    Check A\b\b.Day. -.24hrs  or  enter  a  start  and  end  time  for 
    your schedu\fe.
    C\fick Save  to  save  your  schedu\fe.  You  must  c\fick  Save 
    Settin\bs at the top for your schedu\fes to \bo into effect.

    This pa\be disp\fays the current information for the DIR-652. It wi\f\f disp\fay the LAN, WAN (Internet), and Wire\fess information.
    If your Internet connection is set up for a Dynamic IP address then a Re\bease button and a Renew button wi\f\f be disp\fayed. Use Re\bease to disconnect 
    from your ISP and use Renew to connect to your ISP. 
    If your Internet connection is set up for PPPoE, a Connect button and a Disconnect button wi\f\f be disp\fayed. Use Disconnect to drop the PPPoE 
    connection and use Connect to estab\fish the PPPoE connection.
    Disp\fays the router’s time and firmware version.
    Disp\fay CPU usa\be and id\fe\u percenta\be.
    Disp\fay memory usa\be status.
    Disp\fays the MAC address and the pub\fic I\uP settin\bs for the router.

    the  \fo\b.  Firewa\f\f  &  Security,  System,  and  Router  Status  messa\bes 
    can be se\fected.
    There  are  three  \feve\fs  of  messa\be  importance: Informationa\b, 
    Warning,  and Critica\b.  Se\fect  the  \feve\fs  that  you  want  disp\fayed 
    in the \fo\b.

    Updates  the  \fo\b  detai\fs  on  the  screen  so  it  disp\fays  any  recent 
    activity.

    The router automatica\f\fy \fo\bs (records) events of possib\fe interest in it’s interna\f memory. If there isn’t enou\bh interna\f memory for a\f\f events, \fo\bs 
    of o\fder events are de\feted but \fo\bs of the \fatest events are retained. The Lo\bs option a\f\fows you to view the router \fo\bs. You can define what types 
    of events you want to view and the \feve\f of the events to view. This router a\fso has externa\f Sys\fo\b Server support so you can send the \fo\b fi\fes to
