							Important Information About Your EMP-7100/5100
Please read the following important information about your EMP-
7100/5100 pr ojector.
Important Safety Information
Warning: Never look into the projector lens when the lamp is switched on
as the bright light can damage your eyes. Never let childr en look into the
lens when it is on.
Warning: Never open any covers on the projector except the lamp and
filter covers. Dangerous electrical voltages inside the projector can cause
sever e injury. Except as specifically directed in this OwnerÕs Manual, do
not attempt  to ser vice this product yourself. Refer all servicing to
qualified service personnel.
Warning: Keep the plastic bags for the projector, accessories and optional
par ts out of the r each of children. Children covering their heads with
bags may r esult in death by suffocation. Be particularly careful around
small children.
Caution: When you replace the lamp, never touch the new bulb with your
bar e hands. The invisible residue left by the oil on your hands may be
shor ten the bulb life. Use a cloth or gloves to handle the new bulb. 
						

							Operation Panel
Button/controller Function
PowerTurns power on and off.
Menu Displays or closes the menu.
Video Switches from computer to video.
Computer Switches between Computer 1 and
Computer 2, and from video to
computer.
AutoAutomatically adjusts the graphic
signal being sent from a computer to
optimize it for projection.
Resize Switches the display dot mode and
resize mode 
(EMP-7100 : for VGA,
SVGA and SXGA input,
EMP-5100 : for VGA and XGA input ).
Volume ±Adjusts the volume level.
Mute Cuts off audio.
/(Sync+/SyncÐ)
Synchronizes the graphic signal being
sent from a computer.
Use these buttons to make
adjustments whenever the overall
image is fuzzy or streaked.
These buttons are also used during
menu operations to select menu
items.
/(trackingÐ/tracking+)
Matches the projectorÕs internal clock
to various computer graphic signals
(tracking adjustment). Use these
buttons to make adjustments
whenever there are vertical fuzzy
lines in the image.
These buttons are also used during
menu operations to change numeric
settings.
(Enter) key 
Registers a menu selection.

							Remote Control
Button/controller Function
Menu Displays or closes the menu.
Auto Automatically adjusts the graphic signal being
sent from a computer to optimize it for projection.
Video Switches from computer to video.
Computer Switches between Computer 1 and Computer 2,
and from video to computer.
Effects 1 ~ 5 Function buttons for add-on functions which can
be assigned using the ELP Link II software that
comes with the projector.
Pointer Moves the computer Õs pointer when the projector
is connected to the computer with all cables that
came with the ELP Communication Kit II.
Click 1 Emulates clicking of the right mouse button.
During menu selection, emulates the (Enter)
operation panel button.
Blank Switches to black display or user logo display.
Resize Switches the display dot mode and resize mode
(EMP-7100 : for VGA, SVGA and SXGA input
 EMP-5100 : for VGA and XGA input ).
Custom Button for the custom function assigned using the
ELP Link II software that comes with the
projector.
FreezeSwitches to the display freeze state.
Mute Cuts off audio.
Volume ±Adjusts the volume level.
Power Turns power on and of f.
Click 2 Emulates clicking of the left mouse button. During
menu selection, emulates the (Enter) operation
panel button.
