Usingyourstronghand,pushtheTakeDownButtonsusingapinching motion.WilhyourotherhandplacedoverthetopoftheSlide,movethe SlidetotheBreechEnd,approximately1inch,lilttheSlideupand away.tromtheFrameandBarrel.OncetheBreechEnddisengages, slowlymovetheSlidetowardstheMuzzleuntilltieSlideandtheGas PistonfullydisengagefromtheFrameandBarrel.RemovetheRecoil SpringIromthaBarrel. STRIKERPLUGDISASSEMBLY:Undernormalcircumstances,this operationisunneces.saryandnotrecommended.However,shouldyou encountercontinualmisfiring,dothefollowing,inordertocleanany possibleresidueIromtheStrikerandStrikerHole: PushtheStrikerPlugandrotate90degrees-TheStrikerPlug,when releasedcomesouttherearoftheSlidefollowedbytheStriker,Striker Spring,andBufferSpring. CleanthevariouscomponentsandStrikerHolelromanyresidueusing ahighqualityleadlpowdersolventandasuitablecleaningbrush. Takecarenottolooseanycomponents. ToreplacetheStriker,droptheBufferSpringintotheStrikerHolethrough therearoftheSlide.FollowedbytheStrikerandthentheStrikerSpring. InserttheStrikerPlug,keepingtheStrikerPlugSlotinthevertical posi~on.PushagainstthetensionoftheStrikerSpringandrotatethe StrikerPlug90degreesallowingtheStrikerPlugtospringbackandlock.
