nylon brush and some clean rags.
Take care to prevent catching your fingers
between the chain and sprocket.
A variety of reasonably priced cleaning brushes
are available from variety, drug, food, and
hardware stores. Some of these brushes are
extremely useful in removing dirt from the many
tight contours of the metal pieces...

Fuel System
Refer toSafety Precautionson page 19.
Fuel Recommendation
We recommend that you use unleaded fuel
because it produces fewer engine deposits and
extends the life of exhaust system components.
Your engine is designed to use any gasoline that
has a pump octane number of 91 or higher.
Gasoline pumps at service stations normally
display the pump octane number. For
information on the use of oxygenated fuels, see
page 144.
Use of lower octane gasoline can cause...

To service the fuel filter:
1. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank into an
approved gasoline container.
2. Remove the fuel tank (page 30).
3. Remove the fuel filter (1) from fuel tank by
removing the bolts (2). Wash the fuel filter in
high flash-point cleaning solvent.
4. Reassemble the fuel filter in the...

deposits. Operating the engine with old or dirty
oil can damage your engine. Running the...
