■When a disc/file is played back 
Press [REPEAT]. 
• Each time you press [REPEAT], the repeat 
mode changes. 
*1Repeats the whole program during program 
playback. 
*2“STEP” is displayed during program/random 
playback. 
NOTE
• Repeat playback can also be set using the menu bar. (Refer to page 38.) 
• You can also specify a part to be played back 
repeatedly by using A-B r epeat playback. (Refer

■When a disc is played back or paused 
1Press [VFP]. 
• The current settings are displayed.
TV screen (example) 
2Press 2 or 3 to select VFP mode. 
• Each time you press 2 or 3, VFP mode 
changes on the TV screen as follows. 
- “NORMAL” 
For normal playback. (You cannot adjust 
the image quality.) Go to step 7. 
- “CINEMA” 
Suitable for viewing a movie in a dim room. 
(You cannot adjust the image quality.)

You can play back the desired part repeatedly by 
specifying a start point (A) and an end point (B). 
■When a disc is played back 
1Press [ON SCREEN] twice. 
• The menu bar appears. (Refer to page 38.) 
2Press 2 or 3 to select  . 
3Press [ENTER]. 
4Press 5 or / to select “A-B”. 
5Press [ENTER] at the start point of 
the part to be repeated (specifying

You can change the initial settings of the main unit 
with the preference screen according to the envi-
ronment where the main unit is used.
■ CAUTION
• Slide the remote control mode 
selector to [AUDIO].
NOTE
• The top and bottom of the preference screen may not be displayed on a wide TV. Adjust the 
picture size on the TV. 
■When a disc/file is stopped or no disc is 
loaded (“NO DISC” is displayed in the dis-

Playing back sources from other devices
 
1Press [LINE]. 
• Each time you press [LINE], the display 
changes in the display window as follows.
- “LINE 1” for selecting the device con-
nected to the [LINE IN 1] terminal
- “LINE 2” for selecting the device con-
nected to the [LINE IN 2] terminals
- “TV SOUND” for selecting the TV con-
nected to the [AV] terminal
- “LINE-DIGITAL” for selecting the digital 
audio device connected to the [LINE-DIGI-

Playing back sources from other devices
 
When you start analog playback of a portable digi-
tal audio player connected to the [LINE IN 1] termi-
nal while the main unit is off or another source is 
selected, the main unit automatically turns on and 
the source changes to the connected portable digi-
tal audio player. This function is called the quick 
portable link function (QP LINK). 
Press [QP LINK] repeatedly to select 
“QP ON” in the display window. 
• To deactivate QP LINK, select “QP OFF”....
