The channel number position starts flashing on the display 
window for about 5 seconds.

RDS allows FM stations to send an additional signal along with 
their regular program signals. For  example, the stations send their 
station names, as well as inform ation about what type of program 
they broadcast, such as sports or music, etc.
When tuned in to an FM station  which provides the RDS service, 
the RDS indicator lights up on the display window.
With the system, you can receive the following types of RDS 
signals:

Searching for a program by PTY codes
One of the advantages of the RDS service is that you can locate a 
particular kind of program from the preset channels (Apg. 27) by 
specifying the PTY codes.

Network”.
This allows the system to switch temporarily to a broadcast 
program of your choice (TA, News, and/or Info) from a different

To stop listening to the program selected by Enhanced 
Other Network
Press TA/NEWS/INFO repeatedly again so that the program type 
indicator (TA/News/Info) goes off from the display window. The 
system exits from Enhanced Other Network standby mode and goes 
back to the previously selected station.

 Set the remote control mode selector to AUDIO
