    Field description:
    Gain/Loss adjustments
Gain and loss are ad ministrab le. Calls b etween a d ig ital (BRI or DCP) p hone
(6400 and 8400 series) and an analog trunk port req uire adjustments to the
d efault gain/loss setting s to p revent d istortion. Use the p roc ed ure (Table 5-12
    ) to
ad minister d ig ital phones on ATM-PNC DEFINITY ECSs.
    NOTE:
Use the following p roc ed ure only for Series 6400 or 8400 d ig ital p hones.
AlgorithmThe name of the c ache algorithm (d efault is lan). Possib le values are
none, lan, man, wan, and custom.
When this field is c hanged to none, lan, man, or wan, the read -only For
Latency and Hold Time field values c hang e to the following (all other
    entries are b lank):
Value For Latency (ms) Hold Time (ms)
    none00
    lan50 36
    012
    man800 80
    50 16
    08
    wan800 200
    200 36
    50 16
    00
When this field is custom, none of the For Latency or Hold Time field
values c hang e, b ut the fields chang e from read -only to read /write. For
examp le, if you want a slig ht variation of the wan alg orithm, typ e wan first
to set the above values, then typ e custom to chang e the individ ual
    parameters.
SizeThe maximum numb er of entries simultaneously allowed in the c ac he
    (d efault = 410).
For LatencyThese fields (10) are read -only if the Algorithm field is none, lan, man,
or wan, b ut are read /write if Algorithm is custom. Defaults: 36 for the
1st entry, 0 for the second, b lank for the last 8 entries.
