These hobs are classified in Germany
as Y class for heat protection. They
must be positioned so that there is ade-
quate ventilation. There may be a wall
at the rear and wall or tall units at one
side. On the other side, however, no
unit or divider must stand higher than
the hob. 
Because of the heat given off, there
must be a minimum distance as fol-
lows: 
–40 mm between the worktop 
cut-out and adjacent furniture,

Turn off the mains electricity supply
to the isolator.
Connect cooker cable to isolator.
Align the cooker in front of the base
unit.
Connect the hob plug to the socket
on the cooker.
Push the appliance into the oven
base unit as far as the oven trim and
align.
Then open the oven door and screw
the oven to the side panels of the
base unit through the two holes, one
on each side of the oven trim.

into a tall unit. If you wish to install it
in a base unit, the stainless steel rail
above the control panel must be re-
placed by a sealing strip. The seal-
ing strip offers additional protection
from any liquids that might spill
down from the worktop, and can be
purchased from the Miele Spare
Parts dept.
