    Erase Database 
    IndexesThe Erase Database Indexes option on the Database Administration menu is used 
    to erase the indexes used to access data in the database.

    Use of this option is rare.  When the indexes are erased, using the Build Database 
    Indexes option  is required to re-make them.

    Action Result
    On the Database Administration menu, 
    type e  inside the brackets at the prompt 
    and press Enter. (1)The Erase Database Indexes screen is 
    displayed and shows that the database 
    indexes are being erased.  Afterward 
    the message “Press Enter to continue” 
    is displayed. (2)
    Press Enter. The Database Administration menu is

    Cluster TablesThe Cluster Tables option on the Database Administration menu is used to re-
    order the data in the database.

    General Information
    Clustering the database tables speeds up database searches and data retrieval.  
    However, it does  require a large amount of time to complete.  Attendant Stats locks 
    the database  while it is being clustered so that no one can interrupt by trying to 
    access the database.  It is best to perform this task during low traffic times.

    Log File Display
    Overview
    The Log File Display option on the Attendant Statistics Administration Menu is 
    used to access the log files for display and printing of log entries.  Attendant Stats 
    enters process and error messages to a menu log file and to a report generation log 
    file.

    Menu Options
    The Log File Display menu provides the following options that enable you to 
    perform the actions listed:
    Menu Log Files–Access the files that contain process and error 
    messages occurring during performance of 
    menu functions.
    Report Generator Log Files–Access the files that contain process and error 
    messages occurring during automatic report 
    generation.
    These options make it possible to access these files for display and printing of log 
    entries.  Note that entries are also made to the Applications Manager log file, 
    entered through the APM System Operations Menu, for the Stat
    _Logger 
    component (AMS interface).

    Real-Time Display
    The Menu Log File display reflects real-time activity in the file when it is in 
    AutoScroll mode.  Use the Enter key to toggle the AutoScroll command on and 
    off when the cursor is positioned on the command.  In AutoScroll mode, shown by 
    the notation A–S in the bottom right corner of the screen, new messages are 
    scrolled onto the screen as they occur and are added to the file.

    To Print the Screen or File:
    Ty p e  p and press Enter to select the 
    Print command.  At the prompt, type f 
    to print the whole file or s to print just 
    the screen and press Enter.  (Press Esc 
    to return the cursor to the command 
    line, cancelling the print request.)There is a pause while the file or screen 
    is sent to the printer.  Then the 
    command line is returned.
    To Work at UNIX Level:
    Ty p e  c and press Enter to select the 
    Command choice on the command 
    line. The message Enter UNIX command 
    and press Enter is displayed, and the 
    cursor is positioned on a UNIX prompt.
    To exit the display, type q at the prompt 
    and press Enter.The Log File Display menu is

    Report Generator 
    Log FilesThe Report Generator Log Files option is used to access the files that contain 
    process and error message occurring during automatic generation of reports.

    Real-Time Display
    The Report Generator Log File display reflects real-time activity in the file when
