1. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the system, be sure to read these “IMPORTANT SAFET Y INSTRUCTIONS”.
After reading this manual, save it in a convenient place.
 WarningNote: 
 This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC 
Rules. Operation is subject to the following 
two conditions: (1) This device may not cause 
harmful interference, and (2) this device must 
accept any interference received, including 
interference that may cause undesired 
operation.
 This equipment has been tested and found 
to comply with the limits for a Class B digital 
device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
  These limits are designed to provide 
reasonable protection against harmful 
interference in a residential installation. 
This equipment generates, uses and can 
radiate radio frequency energy and, if not 
installed and used in accordance with the 
instructions, may cause harmful interference

Installation Precautions
 Do not install by yourself.
  Installation should always be performed by 
your dealer or a professional service provider. 
  Electric shock or  re may result if an 
inexperienced person performs any installation 
or wiring procedures incorrectly.
 Use only speci ed air conditioners.
  Always use only air conditions speci ed by 
the dealer.
Moving and Repair Precautions
 Do not repair.
  Never repair the system by yourself.
 Contact your dealer before moving the system.
  Contact your dealer or a professional service 
provider about moving and reinstalling the 
system.
  Electric shock or  re may result if an 
inexperienced person performs any installation 
procedures incorrectly.
Precautions for Use
 Do not touch switches with wet hands.
  Electric shock and damage to the system can 
result. 
 Protect the remote controller from water.
  Damage to the system can result.
 Stop the system and turn the power off if you 
sense unusual smells or other irregularities.
  Continuing operation when the system is out 
of order can result in electric shock,  re, and 
damage to the system. Contact your dealer.

Operation Section
A:  ON/OFF operation 
buttonThis button is for turning the air conditioner on and off .
B: MODE buttonUse this button to select one of the following fi ve operating modes.
(AUTO)
  :  Used to automatically set cooling or heating operation.
(temperature range: 17 ~ 27 °C)
(HEAT)
  :  Used for normal heating operation.
(temperature range: 16 ~ 26 °C)
(DRY)
  :  Used for dehumidifying without changing the room temperature.
(temperature range: 18 ~ 30 °C)
(COOL)
  :  Used for normal cooling operation.
(temperature range: 18 ~ 30 °C)
(FAN)
  :  Used to run the fan only, without heating or cooling operation.
D: FAN SPEED selector buttonC:  Temperature setting buttons
A:  ON/OFF operation button
G: Test button
F:  Temperature Sensor (Internal) B: MODE button

C:  Temperature setting 
buttons  : Press this button to increase the temperature setting.  : Press this button to decrease the temperature setting.
D:  FAN SPEED selector 
button
(AUTO)
  : The air conditioner automatically decides the fan speed.
(HI.)
   : High fan speed
(MED.)
    : Medium fan speed
(LO.)
    : Low fan speed
E: FLAP button1. Use this button to set the air ow direction to a speci c angle.
 In the cool mode and dry mode, if the  aps are set in a 
downward position, condensation may form and drip around the 
vent. 
 Do not move the  ap with your hands.
F:  Temperature sensor 
(Internal)Although the temperature sensor in the indoor unit normally detects 
the temperature, this internal sensor can detect the temperature 
around the remote controller. For more information, contact the dealer 
where you made the purchase. (Do not make any settings if group 
control is being used.)
G: TEST button
CAUTION
This button is used only when ser vicing the air conditioner.
Do not use the TEST button for normal operation.
NOTE
When any button is pressed, the backlight of the LCD display lights up 
for 30 seconds.
*  Group control means that maximum up to 8 indoor units can be 
concurrently controlled with a remote controller.

A: This is displayed to indicate that the system controller is being used for control.
When  indicator is fl ashing on the display, the operation is not accepted by the system 
controller.
B: When the unit is in the heating standby mode, the 
 indicator appears.
C: This displays the temperature setting.
D: This displays alarm messages when an error occurs.
E: This is displayed when using the temperature sensor in the remote controller.
F: This is displayed only if an abnormality occurs within a unit.
G: The currently selected FAN SPEED is displayed.
H: When the TEST button is pressed, the TEST indicator appears.
I: The currently selected operation mode is displayed.

•  Ne pas toucher les interrupteurs avec les mains 
mouillées.
  Une électrocution et des dégâts au système 
pourraient en résulter.
•  Protéger la télécommande contre l’eau.
  Le système pourraient être endommagé.
•  Arrêter le système et mettre hors tension en
cas d’odeur inhabituelle ou d’autre anomalie.
  Poursuivre le fonctionnement quand le système 
est hors service peut provoquer une 
électrocution, un incendie et des dégâts au 
système. Contacter le revendeur.
Précautions relatives à 
l’installation
•  Ne pas installer soi-même.
  L’installation doit toujours être exécutée par le 
revendeur ou un agent de service spécialisé.
Une électrocution ou un incendie peut survenir 
si une personne inexpérimentée exécute 
incorrectement les procédures d’installation ou 
de câblage.
•  Utiliser uniquement les climatiseurs spécifi és.

2. NOMS ET FONCTIONNEMENT
Section de fonctionnement
A:  Touche de marche/arrêt 
de fonctionnement (ON/
OFF)Elle commande la mise en ser vice et hors ser vice du climatiseur.
B: Touche de mode (MODE)Elle permet de choisir un des cinq modes de fonctionnement :
(AUTO)
  :   Utilisé pour régler automatiquement le refroidissement ou le 
chauff age.
(Plage de température : de 17 à 27 °C)
(HEAT)
  :  Utilisé pour un chauff age normal.
(Plage de température : de 16 à 26 °C)
(DRY)
  :   Utilisé pour enlever l’humidité de l’air sans changer la 
température.
(Plage de température : de 18 à 30 °C)
(COOL)
  :  Utilisé pour un refroidissement normal.
(Plage de température : de 18 à 30 °C)
(FAN)
  :   Utilisé pour actionner uniquement le ventilateur sans 
refroidissement ou réchauff ement.
D:  Sélecteur de vitesse de 
ventilation (FAN SPEED)C:  Touches de réglage de

C:  Touches de réglage de 
température  : Sa poussée fait augmenter la température programmée.  : Sa poussée fait baisser la température programmée.
D:  Sélecteur de vitesse de 
ventilation (FAN SPEED)
(AUTO)  : L’appareil choisit lui-même la vitesse de la ventilation.
(HI.)
   : Vitesse de ventilation élevée
(MED.)
    : Vitesse de ventilation moyenne
(LO.)
    : Vitesse de ventilation faible
E: Touche de volet (FLAP)1.  Utiliser cette touche pour régler la direction du fl ux d’air à un angle 
particulier.
•  En mode refroidissement ou séchage, une condensation risque 
de se former et de s’écouler de l’évent si les volets sont dirigés 
vers le bas. 
•  Ne pas déplacer le volet avec les mains.
F:  Capteur de température 
(interne)Ce capteur interne détecte la température autour de la télécommande 
tandis que le capteur de température du bloc intérieur détecte 
normalement la température. Pour plus d’informations, s’adresser au 
revendeur. (N’eff ectuer aucun réglage si l’on utilise la commande de 
groupe.)
G: Touche d’essai (TEST)
AT T E N T I O N
Elle s’emploie uniquement lors de l’entretien du climatiseur.
Ne pas utiliser la touche (TEST) pour le fonctionnement 
ordinaire de l’appareil.
NOTE
Le rétroéclairage de l’affi  chage LCD s’allume pendant 30 secondes 
lorsqu’une touche est enfoncée.
*  “Contrôle groupé” signifi e qu’un maximum de 8 éléments intérieurs 
peuvent être simultanément contrôlés par une télécommande.
