- 101 - Recording Applicable modes: You can take a picture with date and time of recording. • Date information for pictures recorded with the [Date Stamp] set cannot be deleted. •When printing pictures with [Date Stamp] at a shop or with a printer, the date will be printed on top of the other if you choose to print with the date. •If the time has not been set, you cannot stamp with the date information. •When date is stamped onto the 0.3M pictures, it is difficult to read it.•The setting is fixed to [OFF] in the following cases.–When recording motion pictures –When using Auto Bracket–When using [Burst].•[Date Stamp] cannot be set in the Intelligent Auto Mode. Setting of other Recording Mode will be reflected. •Even if you take a picture with [Date Stamp] set to [OFF], it is possible to stamp dates onto the recorded pictures using [Text Stamp] (P113) or setup the Date print (P119, 160) . This unit is using the “VBR” recording method. “VBR” is an abbreviation of “Variable Bit Rate”, and the bit rate (volume of data for definite period of time) is changed automatically depending on the subject to record. In addition, you can play back the slideshow of a desired type of images, such as pictures or motion pictures. This playback method is recommended when you have connected the camera to a TV set to view the pictures you have taken. ∫ Operations during slide show The cursor displayed during playback is the same as 3/4/ 2/1. - 106 - Playback/Editing ∫To filter images for slide show playback You can filter images and play them back in a slide show by selecting [Filtering] on the slide show menu screen. • If you select [All], you can play back all images in a slide show. You can also filter images by using the same setting as [Filtering Play]. Refer to P107 –108 for the setting. ∫Changing the slide show settings By selecting [Setup] on the slide show menu screen, you can change the settings such as [Effect] and [Duration] for slide show playback. - 110 - Playback/Editing Having Fun with Recorded Pictures ([Creative Retouch]) You can add your desired effects to the pictures that you have taken. •The processed pictures are newly generated, so be sure that you have enough space in the built-in memory or on the card. Note also that processing will not be possible if the Write-Protect switch of the card is in the [LOCK] position. •Effects may be difficult to see depending on the picture. 1Press 2/ 1 to select a picture, and then press 3. 2Press 3/ 4 to select image effects and then press [MENU/SET]. •Image effects that are the same as the ones in Creative Control Mode can be added. (P80–84) •A brief description of selected image effect appears when you press [DISP.]. •To set the color you want to keep by using [One Point Color], move the frame at the center of the screen to the desired color with 3/4/ 2 /1 , and then press [MENU/SET]. •If you select [No Effect], an image with no effect is displayed. To proceed the retouch operation, select another image effect. If you are not going to add any effect, exit the menu. •Confirmation screen is displayed.
