    Playback/Editing
    Using the [Playback] Menu
    For details on [Playback] menu settings, refer to P41.
    You can perform actions like cropping recorded pict ures, as well as set up the protection of 
    recorded images, etc.
    •
    With [Creative Retouch], [Text Stamp], [Resize]  or [Cropping], a new edited picture is created.
    A new picture cannot be created if there is no free space on the built-in memory or the card so we 
    recommend checking that there is free space and then editing the picture.
    •Images recorded or edited with the camera may not be played back correctly on other devices and 
    applied effects may not appear on the devices.
    Also, images recorded on other devices may not be played back on the camera and functions of the 
    camera may not be available for the images.
    The location information (longitude/latitude) acquired by the smartphone/tablet can be sent to 
    the camera and written in images.
    •
    Pictures in the built-in memory cannot store location information.
    If you want to record location information on them, copy the pictures in the built-in memory to a 
    memory card, then perform [Location Logging].
    Preparation:
    Sending location information to the camera from the smartphone/tablet.  (P131)
    1Press 2/1 to select pictures.
    2Select [Location Logging] on the [Playback] menu.
    3Press 3/ 4 to select [Add Location Data] and then press [MENU/SET].
    4Press 3/4 to select the period you intend to record location information 
    on pictures, then press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •Images with location information are indicated with [ ].
    ∫ To pause the recording of location information
    Press [MENU/SET] while recording of the location information onto pictures is taking 
    place.
    •
    During a suspended period, [ ±] is displayed.
    Select the period with [ ±] to restart the recording process from the picture you left off.

    ∫To delete the received location information
    1Select [Location Logging] on the [Playback] menu.2Press  3/4  to select [Delete Location Data] and then press [MENU/SET].3Press  3/4  to select the period you want to delete, then press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •Location information can be written only to images taken on this camera.•When there is insufficient free space on the card, location information might not be able to be written.•This function is not available in the following cases:
    –Images recorded after [Send location data]  (P131)–Motion pictures
    You can add text (comments) to pictures. Afte r text has been registered, it can be stamped in 
    prints using [Text Stamp]  (P113).
    1Select [Title Edit] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 3/ 4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    4Enter the text.  (P87)
    •Exit the menu after it is set.
    •To delete the title, erase all the text in the text input screen.
    •You can set up to 50 pictures at one time in [MULTI].•This function is not available in the following case:–Motion pictures

    3Select the picture, and then press 
    [MENU/SET] to set.
    •[’] is displayed for pictures with titles 
    already registered.
    [MULTI] setting
    Press [DISP.] to set (repeat), and then 
    press [MENU/SET] to set.

    The setting is canceled when [DISP.] is 
    pressed again.

    You can stamp recording dates/times and names on recorded pictures.
    1Select [Text Stamp] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 3/4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    4Press 3/4 to select [Setup], and then press [MENU/SET].
    5Press 3/4 to select text stamp items, and then press [MENU/SET].
    6Press 3/4 to select the settings, and then press [MENU/SET].
    [Text Stamp]
    3Select the picture, and then press 
    [MENU/SET] to set.
    •[‘ ] is displayed on pictures already with 
    date or text stamped.
    [MULTI] setting
    Press [DISP.] to set (repeat), and then 
    press [MENU/SET] to set.
    •
    The setting is canceled when [DISP.] is 
    pressed again.
    [SINGLE] [MULTI]
    ItemDescription of settings
    [Shooting Date] [W/O TIME]:
    Stamp the year, month and day.
    [WITH TIME]: Stamp the year, month, day, hour and minutes.
    [OFF]
    [Name] []:
    Stamps names registered in name settings for 
    [Baby1]/[Baby2] or [Pet] in Scene Mode.
    [OFF]
    [Title] [ON]:
    Title input in the [Title Edit] will be stamped.

    8Press 3 to select [OK], and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    Exit the menu after it is executed.
    •When you print pictures stamped with text, the date will be printed over the stamped text if you 
    specify printing of the date at the photo shop or on the printer.
    •You can set up to 50 pictures at one time in [MULTI].
    •The picture quality may deteriorate when text stamping is carried out.•Depending on the printer being used, some characters may be cut at printing. Check before printing.
    •If you perform [Text Stamp] on an image larger than 3M, the picture size will be fixed to 3M (4:3), 
    2.5M (3:2), 2M (16:9) or 2.5M (1:1).
    •When text is stamped onto the 0.3M pictures, it is difficult to read it.
    •This function is not available in the following cases:–Motion pictures–Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode
    –Pictures recorded without setting the clock–Pictures with date or text stamped
    You can add the effect of  [Creative Retouch] to recorded pictures .

    Playback/Editing
    Recorded motion picture can be divided in two. It is recommended for when you want to divide 
    a part you need with a part you do not need.
    It cannot be restored once divided.
    •
    Motion pictures cannot be divided at a location close to the start or end of the motion picture.
    •The order of images will change if motion pictures are divided.
    It is recommended to search these motion pictur es by using [Calendar] or [Video Only] in the 
    [Filtering Play].
    •Motion pictures with a short recording time cannot be divided.•Depending on the motion picture,  dividing it may take as much time as its recording time.
    When dividing a motion picture, we recommend using a sufficiently charged battery or supplying 
    power with the AC adaptor (supplied).
    •You may not be able to divide a motion picture when there is insufficient free space on the card.
    Before dividing a motion picture, we recommend checking if the amount of free space on the card is 
    approximately the same as the size of the motion picture.
    [Video Divide]
    1Select [Video Divide] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 2/ 1 to select the motion picture to divide, and then press [MENU/
    SET].
    3Press 3 at the location to divide.
    •Motion picture is played back from the same location when  3 is 
    pressed again.
    •You can finely adjust the location for division by pressing  2/1 while 
    the motion picture is paused.
    4Press 4.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    Exit the menu after it is executed.
    •Motion picture may be lost if the card or battery is removed while processing the dividing.

    To allow easy posting to web pages, attachment to email etc., picture size (number of pixels) is 
    reduced.
    1Select [Resize] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 3/4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    •You can set up to 50 pictures at one time in [MULTI].•The picture quality of the resized picture will deteriorate.•This function is not available in the following cases:
    –Motion pictures–Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode–Pictures with date or text stamped

    1Press 2/1  to select the picture, and then press [MENU/
    SET].
    2Press  2/1  to select the size, and then press [MENU/
    SET].
    [MULTI] setting
    1Press  3/4  to select the size, and then press [MENU/

    2Press  3/4 /2 /1 to select the picture, and then press 
    [DISP.].
    •
    Repeat this step for each picture, and press [MENU/SET] to set.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    Exit the menu after it is executed.

    You can enlarge and then clip the important part of the recorded picture.
    1Select [Cropping] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 2/1 to select the picture, and then press [MENU/SET].
    3Use the zoom lever and press  3/4/2/1 to select the parts to be 
    cropped.
    4Press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    Exit the menu after it is executed.
    •The picture quality of the cropped picture will deteriorate.•Small size pictures may not be cropped.
    •This function is not available in the following cases:–Motion pictures–Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode
    –Pictures with date or text stamped

    Playback/Editing
    DPOF “Digital Print Order Format” is a system that allows the user to select which pictures to 
    print, how many copies of each picture to print and whether or not to print the recording date on 
    the pictures when using a DPOF compatible photo printer or photo printing store. For details, 
    ask at your photo printing store.
    When you want to use a photo printing store to print pictures recorded on the built-in memory, 
    copy them to a card  (P121) and then set the print setting.
    1Select [Print Set] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 3/ 4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    4Press 3/4 to set the number of prints, and then press [MENU/SET] to 
    set.
    •When [MULTI] has been selected, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each picture.
    (It is not possible to use the same setting for a multiple number of pictures.)
    •Exit the menu after it is set.
    ∫ Canceling all the [Print Set] settings
    1Select [Print Set] on the [Playback] menu.2Press  3/4  to select [CANCEL] and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.

    ∫To print the date
    After setting the number of prints, set/cancel  printing with the recording date by pressing 
    [DISP.].
    •
    Depending on the photo printing store or the printer,  the date may not be printed even if you set to 
    print the date. For further information, ask at your photo printing store or refer to the operating 
    instructions for the printer.
    •The date cannot be printed on pictures with date or text stamped.
    •You can set the number of prints up to 999.
    •Depending on the printer, the date print settings of the printer may take precedence so check if this 
    is the case.
    •It may not be possible to use the print settings with other equipment. In this case, cancel all the 
    settings, and reset the settings.
    •This function is not available in the following cases:
    –Motion pictures–File that does not comply with the DCF standard

    You can set protection for pictures you do not want to be deleted by mistake.
    1Select [Protect] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 3/4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    ∫Canceling all the [Protect] settings1Select [Protect] on the [Playback] menu.
    2Press  3/4  to select [CANCEL] and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed.
    It is executed when [Yes] is selected.

    •Even if you protect pictures in the built-in memo ry or a card, they will be deleted if the built-in 
    memory or the card is formatted.
