Route the cord so that it does not allow rainwater into the vehicle. If the vehicle is a hatchback, allow enough slack in the cord so that it does not get pulled when the rear door is opened or closed. Note: Keep paint, wax, etc. off the GPS antenna. Also, remove substances such as snow from the antenna when they accumulate. These substances impede GPS signal reception. Always remove the GPS antenna before using a car wash.
