machine

8.4 Replacing the toner 
cartridge and the drum 
unit 
When the display shows the following, replace 
the toner cartridge.
TONER LOW
TONER EMPTY
We recommend you replace the drum unit every 
fourth time you replace the toner cartridge. To 
check the drum life and quality, please print the 
printer test list (page 66). To ensure that the unit 
operates properly, we recommend the use of 
Panasonic toner cartridge (Model No. KX-
FA83)...

(1) by holding the two tabs.
LDo not touch the transfer roller (2).
LIf you replace the toner cartridge and the 
drum unit at the same time, skip to step 7.
5Turn the two levers (1) on the used toner 
cartridge firmly, until the triangles (2) match.
6Remove the used cartridge (1) from the 
drum unit (2).
LThe toner may stick to the cartridge and 
the drum unit. Be careful when handling.
