    Base unit: 
    1. Press 
    (FUNCTION).
    2. Select  “Registration ” by
    pressing  or  , and press  H.
    3. Select  “Deregistration ” by
    pressing  or  , and press  H.
    4. Press  Ior H to move the cursor
    to the handset number to be 
    canceled.
    5. Press 
    (ENTER).
    6. Press 
    (CLEAR), and press (EXIT).
    Canceling Handset Registration
    Make sure that the base unit and cordless handset a re in the standby mode. 
    Cordless handset: 
    1. Press 
    (FUNCTION).
    2. Select  “Registration ” by
    pressing  or  , and press  H.
    3. Select  “Deregistration ” by
    pressing  or  , and press  H.
    4. Press 
    (CLEAR), and press (EXIT).
    Using an Optional Headset
    Plugging an optional headset into the cordless hand set allows a hands-free
    phone conversation. Please use only a Panasonic KX- TCA88 headset.  To
    order, call the accessories telephone number on pag e 1. 
    Connecting the headset to the cordless handset 
    Open the headset jack cover, and connect the headse t to the headset jack
    as shown.
    Headset Jack
    When the headset is 
    connected, make sure
    to use the headset to 
    talk with the caller. If 
    you want to have a 
    normal cordless 
    phone conversation,
    disconnect the 
    headset.
    Wall Mounting
    The charger can be wall 
    mounted.
    Install screws using the 
    wall template on the right. 
    Connect the AC adaptor. 
    Mount the charger, then 
    slide it down.

    CAUTION:

    1. Use only the battery(ies) specified.

    overheat and cause burns.
    5. Charge the battery(ies) provided with or identifi ed for use with this product only in
    accordance with the instructions and limitations sp ecified in this manual.
    1Remove the cover by sliding 
    while pressing the arrow.
    2Replace the battery, and close
    the cover. Be sure to charge the
    new battery for about 8 hours.
    The handset battery is a Nickel-Metal
    Hydride battery. You cannot recycle 
    this battery.
    Using the Belt Clip
    You can hang the cordless handset on your belt or p ocket using
    the belt clip.

    Battery Replacement
    If  “Recharge ” is displayed and/or  “ ” flashes on the display after being
    fully charged, replace the battery with a new Panas onic 
    HHR-P506 (PQHHR150AA21) battery. To order, call the  accessories
