Updating the base unit 
software
Your phone system dealer may offer new features 
and improve its software version from time to time. 
If you set the base unit software update setting to 
manual mode through the Web user interface, you 
need to download the update when “Update 
version.Press OK.” is displayed. Contact your 
administrator for further information.
Important:
LMake sure the STATUS indicator on the base 
unit is lit in green and no line is in use (page 8)....

Programmable settings
You can customize the unit by programming the following features.
To access the features, there are 2 methods:
– scrolling through the display menus (page 33)
– using the direct commands (page 34)
Some of the features can be programmed through the Web user interface (page 40).
LDirect command is the main method used in this User Guide.

Call forward
Incoming calls can be forwarded to another party. 
You can choose one of 3 modes:
–“Unconditional”: All incoming calls are 
forwarded.
–“Busy”: Incoming calls while the line is in use 
are forwarded.
–“No answer”: Incoming calls after a certain 
number of rings are forwarded. The default 
setting of the number of ring count is “3”. To 
change the setting, perform “Changing the ring 
count”, page 36.

Do not disturb
This feature allows the unit to reject calls on 
selected lines.
The default setting is “Off”.
Important:
LWe recommend setting with your administrator. 
Contact your administrator for further 
information.
LIf this feature is set on your unit, it may be 
overridden by your phone system settings.
LThis feature is not available on shared lines.
LThe call is logged in the caller list (page 42) with 
Q after the call is rejected.
