31 Preparation You can change camera settings using the setup menu according to the shooting scene and recording details. buttonOPERATION lever Using the setup menu •The menu items displayed in gray characters cannot be changed. 1 Press the button when the camera is not shooting or playing back video. Initializing the setup menu The setup men u is div ided int o use r file s and sce ne files and you can initialize each one to its factory settings. To initialize user files (all items other than scene files) By selecting [INIT] in the [LOAD/SAVE/INIT] item of the [USER FILE] screen, you can restore the current user file menu setting to its factory setting. To initialize scene files Among the six scene files, select the file you wish to initialize using the dial. Then by selecting [INIT] in the [LOAD/SAVE/INIT] item of the [SCENE FILE] screen, you can restore the setting value of only the selected scene file to its factory setting. • To initialize user files and scene files at the same time, restore a user file and all six scene files to their factory settings by selecting [YES] in the [MENU INIT] item of the [OTHER FUNCTIONS] screen. •Time code/[OPERATION TIME] item/[CLOCK SET] item/[TIME ZONE] item setting values are not initialized.

33 Preparation The [CLOCK SET] value is recorded in the contents (clip) and affects the playback sequence of the thumbnails. Before shooting, be sure to check/set the [TIME ZONE] and [CLOCK SET]. Example: AG-AC160AP • The date can be set to any date between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2039. •For any date after December 31, 2039, [--] will appear on the display . •Time is displayed in the 24-hour format. 9 When settings are complete, press the OPERATION lever. •The time can be inaccurate so confirm that the time is correct before shooting. •When using the camera overseas, do not set the [CLOCK SET] to the local time but instead enter the time dif ference from Greenwich Mean Time according to the [TIME ZONE].
