Remote Control Features
You can use y our remote contr ol wireless to oper ate y our
UP-800 Da ta Projector.  W ith the remote mouse r eceiver
connected to y our computer, you can also use the pr ojectors
remote control to operate your computers mouse wireless,
too. (See pa ge E-20 to connect the r emote mouse receiver to
y our computer .)
NOTE: If you are using a Macintosh computer, you can click either

Use this b utton to call up the On-Scr een Menu so you can
adjust and set the ima ge. After y ou press this b utton, it
will light up. During this time you can use the mouse
pointer and r ight / left click buttons to mak e menu selec-
tions. If no b uttons are pressed within 10 seconds w hile it
illumina tes,  the light goes out. To r etur n to the main men u
fr om a sub men u, press this b utton again.

How to store the projector in the carrying case
1.Remove any accessories.2.From the folded state, open the carrying case.
3.Put the projector main unit in the square box section.4.W ith the pr ojector pac ked in the car rying case this w ay,
zip up the sides.
5.Put the notebook PC into the carrying case too.

the projector f alls to the ground, you can be injur ed and
the pr ojector se verely damaged.
¥ Do not use the Da ta projector w here temper atures v ary

Remote Control Guideline
1. Plug the ser ial cable with the r emote mouse r eceiver into your computers mouse por t and restart your computer to g ain
remote mouse control.
2. W hen using the r emote controls built-in infr ared mouse on a la ptop computer, the la ptops mouse , trackball or tr ackpad
will be disa bled. Disconnect the infr ared r eceiv er and r estart your computer to r egain tr ackball or tr ackpad mouse

Connecting Your PC Or Macintosh Computer
Connecting your PC or Macintosh computer to your UP-800 Data Projector will enable you to project your computers screen
image f or an impr essive presenta tion.  All of these following displa y standards are supported:
T o connect to a PC,  Macintosh or computer equipped with a SuperV GA/VGA adapter or compa tible graphics ada pter, simply:
1. Turn off the power to your Da ta pr ojector and computer.

Changing Video Resolutions
De pending on y our computers g raphic ca pability,  you ma y
be ab le to select one of se veral resolutions. Generally a com-
puter - either a PC or Macintosh- with 1 me g. of memor y will
run: 640 ´ 480 at 16.7 million colors (24 bit Truecolor)
800  ´ 600 at 65000 colors.
1024  ´ 768 at 256 colors.
As the resolution increases,  the number of colors you can run
decreases.  With 2 meg. of memory a computer will run: 640 ´ 480 at 16.7 million colors (24 bit Truecolor)....

Connecting Your Document Camera
You can connect y our UP-800 Data Projector to a document camer a. To do so,  simply:
1. Turn off the power to your Da ta pr ojector and document camera.
2. Use a standar d video cable to connect y our document camer a to the Video input on y our Da ta
projector.
3. Tur n on the Da ta projector and the document camer a.
