    Connections to the
    V-50HD/V-63HD and
DHD ControllerProceed as follows to connect the DHD Controller to the V-50HD/V-63HD, your video
sources, external controller(s) – if present – and AC power.
To access the rear-panel connectors, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws
securing the protective cover plates (see Figure 2-3) to the panel, then remove the plates.
    When connecting your equipment:
Turn off all equipment before making any connections.
Use the correct signal cables for each source.
For best performance and to minimize cable clutter, use high-quality cables that are
only as long as necessary to connect two devices. (Don’t use a 20-foot cable when a
    6-foot cable will suffice.)
Ensure that the cables are securely connected. Tighten the thumbscrews on
    connectors that have them.
    Connecting the DHD
    Controller to the
V-50HD/V-63HD Connect the HDMI Out To Display connector on the DHD Controller to the PRIMARY
INPUT connector on the V-50HD/V-63HD. See Figure 3-2. Then, re-attach the input
cover plate, routing the cable through the nearest slot on the plate.
Figure 3-2. Connecting the V-50HD/V-63HD to the DHD Controller
Use an HDMI cable for this connection. A DVI cable with
DVI-to-HDMI adapters will not work. Caution

Use the HDMI inputs whenever possible. Not only does this ensure
the best possible picture quality, it provides a communication
channel for CEC command messages between the display and
source component (if both support CEC).
You can also connect computers with DVI output to these inputs.
Refer to Supported Timings on page 75 for a list of compatible
    input signals.
