    GETTING UP AND RUNNING
    Install the battery
    1 Open the battery/card cover, and insert the batteries.
    hThe battery/card cover is located on the bottom of the camera.
    2 Press the ON/OFF button to turn the camera on.
    hThe Shooting Screen appears.

    1 Press the [m] button.
    hThe screen to set the 
    shooting mode and self 
    timer appears.
    2 Press the [m] button to select 
    the single shot mode, and 
    press the SET button.
    hAn icon in the upper left 
    area of the monitor indicates 
    the active shooting mode 
    setting.
    c: Single shot mode
    P: Sequential shots mode
    X: Video clip recording mode
    3 Press the shutter button.
    hThe image is captured.

    mode.
    2 Press the shutter button.
    hRecording begins.
    hTo stop recording, press the 
    shutter button again.

    1 Press the playback button [=].
    hThe display switches to the 
    Playback Screen.
    hTo view other images, press the 
    [l] or [m] button.
    hIf the playback button [=] is 
    pressed, the display returns to 
    the Shooting Screen.
    kVideo clip playback
    1 Press the playback button [=].
    hThe display switches to the 
    Playback Screen.
    hPress the [l] or [m] button to 
    display the video clip you wish to 
    play back.
    hVideo clips are indicated by a 
    video clip pattern along the top 
    and bottom of the screen.
    2 Press the SET button.
    hPlayback of the selected video 
    clip begins.
    hIf the playback button [=] is 
    pressed again, the display 
    changes to the Shooting Screen.
    When you are finished taking pictures...
    Press the ON/OFF button to turn the camera off.
