    Needle to 
    Rotating 
    Hook Relation  Adjustment
    Adjusting  the  height  of  the  needle 
    bar	(Figure 27)
    Turn	 the	handwhee\f	 unti\f	the	nee\b
    d\fe	 bar	 has	 been	 at	the	 \fowest	
    point,	\foosen	the	setscrew	‘1’.
    The	 \fine	‘A’	on	 the	 need\fe	 bar	‘2’	
    a\fign	 with	the	bottom	 end	of	need\fe	
    bar	 \fower	 bushing	 ’3’,	then	 secure\fy	
    tighten	the	setscrew	‘1’. Adjusting the position of the rotat-
    ing hook
    Loosen	
    two	rotating	 hook	set\b
    screws	 and	turn	 the	handwhee\f	 un\b
    ti\f	 the	 \fine	 ‘B’	on	need\fe	 bar	a\fign	
    with	 the	bottom	 end	of	need\fe	 bar	
    \fower	bushing	‘3’.
    After	 the	above	 adjustments	 steps,	
    the	 rotating	 hook	point	 ‘5’	a\figns	
    with	 the	center	 of	need\fe	 ‘4’,	and	
    make	 sure	the	c\fearance	 between	
    the	 need\fe	 and	the	rotating	 hook	
    ‘5’	is	0.04~0.1	mm.

    If the clearance 
    is too small\f the 
    rotating hook \boints  will wear out\f and 
    too big\f it will cause  the ski\b stitch.
    When re\blacing the \c rotating hook\f it 
    should be using th\ce  original one.

    Presser 
    Bar Height 
    Adjustment
    Loosen	 setscrew	 ‘1’	(Figure	 28)	and	
    adjust	 the	height	 of	the	 presser	 bar.	
    When	 the	presser	 foot	rises	 to	the	
    highest,	 the	distance	 between	 the	throat	
    p\fate	and	the	presser	 foot	is	
    5.5	mm	(Figure	29).
    Tighten	 the	setscrew	 ‘1’	after	 ad\b
    justment.

    Thread Take-
    Up Stroke 
    Adjustment
    When	 sewing	 for	heavy	 weight	 ma\b
    teria\f,	 the	thread	 guides	 ‘1’	move	 to	
    the	 \feft	(in	direction	 ‘A’)	to	increase	
    the	 \fength	 of	thread	 pu\f\fed	out	by	
    the	thread	take\bup.	
    When	 sewing	 \fight	weight	 materia\f,	
    the	 thread	 guides	 ‘1’	move	 to	the	 right	
    (in	direction	 ‘B’)	to	decrease	
    the	 \fength	 of	thread	 pu\f\fed	out	by	
    the	thread	take\bup.
    When	 marker	 \fine	‘\f’	on	the	 thread	
    guide 	‘1’ 	is 	a\figned 	with 	the 	center 	of	
    the 	screw 	that 	is 	standard 	(Figure 	30).

    Lubrication
    Safet\b 
    Inspection
    C\fean	 the	machine	 periodica\f\fy	 with	
    a	 soft	 and	 dry	c\foth	 to	remove	 the	
    excess	 of	dust	 on	the	 machine	 head.	
    Do	 not	 use	 any	 kind	 of	\facquer	 thin\b
    ner	to	wipe	the	surface.
    If	 the	 machine	 was	id\fe	for	a	\fong	
    time,	 \fubricate	 the	machine	 accor\b
    ding	 to	the	 instructions	 of	topics	
    3.4	to	3.6.
    Check	 periodica\f\fy	 if	a\f\f	 safety	 de\b
    vices	 are	proper\fy	 insta\f\fed	and	ad\b
    justed.
    Check	 if	a\f\f	 fixing	 and	supporting	
    screws	 of	the	 machine	 head	are	
    adequate\fy	tighten. Check	
    if	the	 v\bbe\ft	 is	not	 excessive\fy	
    worn	 and	if	it	has	 the	right	 tension.
    Check	 if	there	 is	no	 overheating	 in	
    the	 e\fectrica\f	 motor	and	check	 if	the	
    power	 cord	and	p\fug	 are	not	 dama\b

    Troubleshooting
