    File Number
    Selects  the method  used  to  assign file  numbers to  images.
    1 .  MENU  
      1  [File Number]   desired  mode
    Series Assigns  numbers to  files  in  sequence  even  if the recording  folder  or the memory  card  is
    changed.  (When  the replaced  memory  card  contains a file  with  a number higher  than  the
    last assigned  number,  a number one  higher  than  the largest  number is assigned.)
    Reset Starts  from 0001 each  time the folder  is changed.  (When  the recording  folder  contains a
    file, a number one  higher  than  the largest  number is assigned.)

    Changes  the folder  in  the memory  card  that  is currently  used  for  recording  images.
    1 .  MENU  
      1  [Select REC  Folder]
    2 .  Select  a folder  with  
    / on  the control  wheel.
    3 .  Press 
    Notes
    You  cannot  select  a folder  with  a number that  has  only  “
    MSDCF” or “ANV01”
    as a recording  folder.
    You  cannot  move  recorded  images to  another folder.

    New Folder
    Creates  a folder  in  a memory  card  for  recording  images.
    Images  are  recorded  in  the newly created  folder  until  you  create  another folder  or select  another
    recording  folder.
    1 .  MENU  
      1  [New  Folder]
    On folders
    After  a new  folder  is created,  you  can  change  the storage  destination  folder.  [Details]
    Notes When  you  insert  a memory  card  that  was  used  with  other  equipment  into  the camera  and  shoot
    images,  a new  folder  may be  automatically  created.
    Up  to  4,000  images can  be  stored  in  one  folder.  When  the folder  capacity  is exceeded,  a new
    folder  is automatically  created.

    Recover  Image DB
    When  inconsistencies  are  found  in  the image database  file, caused by processing  files  on  computers,
    etc., images on  the memory  card  will not be  played  back  in  this form.  If this happens,  the camera  repairs
    the file.
    1 .  MENU  
      1  [Recover  Image  DB]   [Enter]
    The [Recover  Image  DB]  screen  is displayed,  and  the camera  repairs the file.
    Wait until  the repair is completed.
    Notes Use  a sufficiently  charged  battery.  Low  battery power during  repairs can  cause  damage  to  data.

    Allows you  to  select  whether to  always display  the first  screen  of  the menu  or to  display  the screen  of
    the item previously  set.

    Top Always  displays  the first  screen  of  the menu.
    Previous Displays  the last item set.  This makes  it easier to  quickly reset the item you  set
    previously.

    LCD Brightness
    The brightness  of  the screen  is automatically  adjusted  to  the ambient lighting  conditions  using the light
    sensor.  You  can  set  the brightness  of  the screen  manually.

      1  [LCD  Brightness]   desired  mode
    Auto Adjusts  the brightness  automatically.
    Manual Allows you  to  adjust  the brightness  within the range of  -2 to  +2.
    Sunny  Weather Automatically  adjusts  the brightness  appropriately  for  shooting  outdoors.
    Notes When  this is set  to  [Auto], do  not cover  the light  sensor  with  your  hand or anything  else.  [Details]
