4.4.1 General safety check
4.4.2 Electrical safety checkThe operation of the safety system 
should always be checked every time 
before use.

Never use high-pressure air against the 
radiator fins. This will damage the fin 
structure. 
Clean the machine after each use. The following 
instructions apply for cleaning:
 Do not spray water directly at the engine. 
 Clean the engine with a brush and/or com- pressed air.
 Clean the engine’s cooling air intake (9:T).
 After cleaning with water, start the machine and  any cutting deck to remove the water that may 
otherwise penetrate bearings and cause damage .

5.5.1 Checking - adjusting

5.5.2 Draining
1. Run the machine at variable speeds for 10-20 minutes to heat up the transmission oil.
2. Position the machine completely horizontally.
3. Pull out both disengagement levers according to  fig. 6.
4. Place one container under the rear axle and one  under the front axle.
5. Open the oil reservoir by removing the cover.  See 9:R.
Only a 3/8” square drive may be used 
for the oil plug. Other tools will damage 
the plug.

The battery must be fully charged be-
fore being used for the first time. The 
battery must always be stored fully 
charged. If the battery is stored while 
discharged, serious damage will occur. 
5.8.1 Charging wi th the engine
The battery can be charged using the engine’s gen-
erator as follows:
1. Install the battery in the machine as shown be- low.
2. Place the machine outdoors or install an extrac- tion device for the exhaust fumes.

5.11 AIR INTAKESee 19:T. The engine is air-cooled. A blocked 
cooling system can damage the engine. Clean the 
engine’s air intake after 50 hours of operation. 
More meticulous cleaning of the cooling system is 
carried out during each basic service.
5.12 LUBRICATIONAll lubrication points in accordance with the table 
below must be lubricated every 50 hours of opera-
tion as well as after every wash.

2.4.2 Embrayage - frein de stationnement

Ne jamais enfoncer cette pédale pen-
dant les déplacements pour éviter toute 
surchauffe des organes de transmission. La pédale se règle sur trois posi-
tions :
Relâchée . Lembrayage nest 
pas activé. Le frein de stationne-
ment nest pas activé.
  Enfoncée à moitié . La marche avant est désac-
tivée. Le frein de stationnement nest pas activé.
 Totalement enfoncé . La marche avant est dé-
sactivée. Le frein de stationnement est tout à

2.4.8 Levier de débrayage 
Levier permettant de débrayer la transmission va-
riable.
Le modèle HST est équipé d’un levier connecté à 
l’essieu arrière. Voir (5:N).
Le modèle 4WD est équipé de deux leviers 
connectés à l’essieu arrière (6:O) et l’essieu avant 
(6:P).Le levier d’embrayage ne doit jamais se 
trouver entre les positions extérieure et 
intérieure pour éviter de surchauffer le 
moteur et d’endommager la transmis-
sion.

3 UTILISATION
L’usage de la machine est réservé aux travaux sui-
vants, avec les accessoires STIGA d’origine ren-
seignés.
La charge verticale maximum exercée sur la boule 
de remorquage doit être inférieure à 100 N.
La charge d’inertie maximum exercée sur la boule 
de remorquage par les accessoires tractés doit être 
inférieure à 500 N.
REMARQUE ! Avant d’utiliser un tracteur, 
contactez votre compagnie d’assurance.
