    TITLES” on page 70 to display the
    original.

    desired title, then press [ENTER].

     Undefined letters in a title name are shown by “*”. If you delete them, adjoining letters may change to “*”or other.

    Follow steps 1 to 3 in “Putting Names 
    on Titles” on page 73 to display “Edit”
    menu.

     Use [K /L] to select “Chapter Mark”, 
    then press [ENTER].
    Submenu will appear.

     Use [SKIPH /G],
    [REVE], [FWDD], [PLAYB] and
    [PAUSEF] to find the point where
    you will create a new chapter mark.
    Or, use [SKIPH /G] to find a

    hapter mark that you wish to delete.

    “Delete”, then press [ENTER].

    You can put chapter marks in each title. Once a chapter is 
    marked, you can use it for the chapter search feature.

    Maximum numbers of chapter for each DVD:VR mode DVD  :  999 chapters per entire originaland playlist
    +VR mode DVD  :  254 chapters per disc, 99 chaptersper title
    Besides the above-mentioned, it is not likely to beable to add according to recorded time and numberof chapters.

    ”Hidden” will be displayed in the preview windowwhile previewing the hidden chapter.
     When you make all chapters in the title “Hidden”,“Hidden” is displayed in a thumbnail of the title list.

     When a scene is deleted from an original, the playlist related to the original will be deleted.
     You cannot select “Scene Delete” if the number of 
    chapter marks in the original or playlist is more than999. (Depends on the content, there is a case that you cannot select “Scene Delete” before the numberof chapter marks reaches 999.)
    The recordable disc space will not increase even afterdeleting a part of a title on the playlist.

    Dividing a Title

    You can divide one title into two new titles.
    Note
    You cannot divide a title of the disc when thenumber of recording titles reaches the maximum of 99 (-RW) or 49 (+RW), and the number of recordingchapters reaches the maximum of 999 (-RW) or 254(+RW).

    Press [DVD].
    In stop mode, press [TOP MENU].
      For VR mode DVD-RW, press[DISC MENU]to select “Playlist”.

    Use [K/ L/s/ B] to select a desired 
    title, then press [ENTER].

     Use [K /L] to select “Edit”, then
