    The Door Answer Unit (also known as the Dozr Answer 
    Control) is installed next to, and connects with; the KSU. It - 
    serves as the interface between tie system’s stations and tie 
    one dr two installed Door Modules (also know as the D&r’ 
    Answer Bqxes) at the c&red doors br entryways. 
    Up to 31 Off Premises Extension/ 
    Data Interface (OPX) units 
    Part Number 90-0308 
    The OPX knit converts a 2,wb-e interface to a Z-wire irtJer- 
    face, ailowing a single line telephone to be connected to any 
    spare station jack - except station 10. It also allows Z-wire 
    devides to be connected at a distance greater &an the system 
    2000 feet limit for Sets. The OPX unit also simuIates CO

    Site Preparation . 
    Because ihe.KSU is at tie heart of the operation of the 
    Panther 1032 Electronic Key Telephone System, ensure that 
    its installation site meets the following criteria: 
    l Clean, dry, and well ventilated (should meet the en- 
    vironment+l requirements listed in Section C) 
    l _, Within seven feet of the incoming CO, CENTEEX, 
    or PBX line terminations .
