Pus h t he pl ast ic re ta ine r sl owly upwar d u nti l it i s f re e. 3. Locate the tab o n the plastic retainer, making sure it is toward you, t he n pl ace it b ack i nt o it s hold er. 4. If the cord is not p lugg ed into the w all jack as sem bly, reroute the line cord throug h the access channel on the top of the telephone. If the line cord is plugged into the wall jack assembly, run the line cord through the ho le p rovide d and plug it into the conne ctor on the back of the te le phone. 6. Line up the hooks on the top and bottom of the wall mount bracket s o they can e nga ge w ith the slots cut into the bottom of the telephone bas e. Ins ert the bottom hooks first. 7. Slide the mou nting bracke t s lowly downw ard s until th e top tabs slide into the top slots and snap into place. 8. Match th e two k ey hole s lots on the b ase plate with the lugs on th e 630- A ty pe ja ck an d alig n the modular connec tor, the n s lide th e telephone into place. 9. While h ead set m ode is activ e, f eatures such as o n-hook dia ling a nd ha nds free speakerphone operation are inop er abl e. Caller ID Interface Unit Installation The Caller Identification Interface Unit receives the data from the te le phone comp any and s end s t he dat a, in A SCI I RS- 23 2 C fo rma t to the KSU. Connecting the Cable Port (9081-00) 1. Select th e correct RS-232 cable. 2. Connect one end of the cable on the desired MSIB I/O port (1 or 2). 3. Connect the other end to the 1480-00 I/O port marked RS232.

S2 dip sw itches control two ma jor f unctions: †Switches 1-5 configure the 1480-00 to the DTE device for baud rate, data bits, and parity. †Switches 6-8 select the unit number for the 1480-00 when multiple units are connected in series. If a single unit is used, switches 6-8 are se t for Unit # 1 . SMDR The S MD R feature provides detailed records of all outgoing and/or incoming, long distance only or all calls. The SMDR Qualification Timer det e rmi ne s t he t i me n ee ded to d et er mi ne a val i d SM D R c all for r ep ort ing purposes. By default, this timer is set to 30 seconds and is variable from 00-60 seconds in one second increments . T his feature is enab led or di sabl ed i n sys te m p rogr amm ing. By de faul t , S MD R is di sab le d a nd se t to record lo ng distance calls only. A printout format of 80 cha ra cters max imum or 30 cha ra cters maximum may be se le cte d i n s ystem pr ogra mmi ng. T he standa rd for mat i s 80 characters p er line .
