    FW Version (Firmware Version)
    Use ths settng to vew the current camera firmware 
    verson.
    Select FW Version
     
     n the Fle/Software menu, then press 
    Rght.
    Reset Settings
    Use ths settng to restore the camera to ts default 
    settngs.
    1.  Select Reset Sett
     ngs n the Fle/Software menu, then 
    press Rght.
    2.  Use the Up/Down nav
     gaton buttons to select Yes or 
    No. Then press the  button to confirm the settng.

    The vdeo output sgnal can be swtched to NTSC or PAL to 
    accommodate dfferent regonal standards. The approprate 
    settng wll vary between regons.
    NTSC:  USA, Canada, Ta
     wan, Japan, etc.
    PAL:  Europe, Asa (excludng Tawan), Oceana, etc.
    Note:   
    The TV output w
     ll not dsplay properly f an 
    ncorrect vdeo system s selected.
    Use ths feature to swtch the vdeo system from ether 
    NTSC or PAL.

      Select  Video System 
     n the Transmsson menu, then 
    press Rght.
    2.  Use the  Up/Down nav
     gaton buttons to select NTSC or 
    PAL. Then press the  button to confirm.

    Connectng to a PC
    Use the USB cable and ArcSoft software (CD-ROM) suppled 
    wth your camera to copy (transfer) pctures to a computer.
    Setting the USB mode
    Snce the camera’s USB port can be set to connect wth 
    ether a PC or a Prnter, the followng steps wll allow you to 
    ensure that the camera s correctly configured to connect 
    wth a PC.
    1.  Go to the Transmsson menu, then select USB 
    connecton wth the Up/Down button, and press the 
    Rght button.
    2.  Use the  Up/Down
     nav
     gaton buttons to select  PC
    .
    3.
      Press the 
     button to confirm the settng.
    Transferring files to your PC
    The computer wll automatcally detect the camera as a 
    removable drve. Double-clck the  My
     Computer
      con on the 
    desktop to locate the removable drve and to copy folders 
    and files n the drve to a drectory on your PC as you would 
    copy any typcal folder or file.
    By usng the USB cable, you can transfer the captured 
    photos and vdeos to a PC. Follow the steps below to 
    connect the camera to a PC.
    1.
    
      Start a computer n whch ArcSoft software has been 
    nstalled.
    2.  Make sure both the camera and PC are turned on. 
    3.  Connect one end of the suppled USB cable to the USB/
    AV OUT port on your camera.
    4.
    
      Connect the other end of the cable to an avalable USB 
    port on your PC.

    Wndows operatng system (Wndows 2000, Wndows 
    XP, Wndows Vsta, Wndows 7.)
    Clck the [Safely remove the hardware] con and remove 
    the USB connector accordng to the appeared menu.
    Macntosh
    Drag the unttled con to the Trash. ("Unttled")
    5. Dsconnect the camera once transfer s completed.
    If the USB option is set to [PC]  :
    Turn the camera off and d
    
    sconnect the USB cable.
    If the USB option is set to [PC (PTP) ] :
    Remove the camera from the system as descr
     bed below 
    before turnng the camera off and dsconnectng the USB

    Connectng to a PctBrdge Compatble Prnter
    PctBrdge allows prntng mages from a 
    memory card n a dgtal camera drectly to a 
    prnter, regardless of brand. To find out f a 
    prnter s PctBrdge compatble, smply look 
    for the PctBrdge logo on the packagng or 
    check the manual for specficatons. Wth 
    the PctBrdge functon on your camera, you can prnt the 
    captured photos drectly to a PctBrdge compatble prnter 
    usng the suppled USB cable, wthout the need for a PC.
    Setting the USB mode
    Snce the camera’s USB port can be set to connect wth

    that the camera s correctly configured to connect wth a 
    Prnter.
    1.  Go to the camera's Transmsson menu and, select USB 
    connecton wth the Up/Down button, then press the 
    Rght button.
    2.  Use the  Up/Down button and select Pr
     nter.3. 
    Press the 
     button to confirm the settng.
    After the camera s reset, t wll swtch to PC mode

    Connecting the camera and printer.
    1. Make sure both the camera and prnter are turned on. 
    2.  Connect one end of the suppled USB cable to the USB 
    port on your camera.
    3.
    
      Connect the other end of the cable to the USB port on 
    the prnter.
    If the camera s not connected to a PctBrdge compatble 
    prnter, the followng error message wll appear on the LCD 
    screen.
    The above error message would also appear f the 
    USB mode were set ncorrectly, n whch case you 
    should dsconnect the USB cable, check the USB 
    mode settngs, ensure that the Prnter s turned on, 
    and then try connectng the USB cable agan.

    After settng the USB mode to Prnter, the PictBridge menu 
    w
    ll appear. 
    Select a menu tem wth the Up/Down button and press 
    the Rght button or  button to enter the tem.
    Refer to the followng sectons for more detaled nforma -

    Print with date
    If you have set the date and tme on your camera, the date 
    and tme wll be recorded and saved wth each photo you 
    take.
    1.
    
      Select Print with date from the PictBridge menu. The 
    follow

    2.  Use the Left/Right nav gaton buttons to scroll through 
    the photos.

    3. Use the Up/Down nav gaton buttons to select the 
    number of prnts for the current dsplayed photo.
    4.  Press the 
     button and the followng screen wll 
    appear.
    5.  Select Yes to prnt or ext, then press  button agan. 
    Print without date
    Use ths settng to prnt the photos wthout dates on them. 
    1. Select  Print without date from the PictBridge menu. 
    The follow
    
    ng screen appears.
    2.  Use the Left/Right nav gaton buttons to scroll through 
    the mages.
    3.  Use the  Up/Down nav
     gaton buttons to select the 
    number of prnts for the current dsplayed mage.
    4.  Press the 
     button and the followng screen wll

    Print index
    You can use ths settng to prnt an ndex of all the photos 
    currently n your camera's memory.
    1.  Select  Print index from the PictBridge menu. The 
    follow

    2.  Select  Yes  to  pr nt  or  ex t,  then  press  the   button

    Print DPOF (Digital Print Order Format)
    To use DPOF prntng, you must make the selecton of pho-
    tos for pr
    ntng usng the DPOF settngs beforehand. See 
    “ DPOF
    ” sect
     on on page 56.
    1.  Select  Print
     DPOF
     from the  PictBridge
     menu.  The fol-
    low
    
    ng screen wll appear.
    2.  Select Yes to prnt or ext, then press the  button 
    agan.
    Exit
    To ext the PictBridge menu, select Exit. The “Remove USB 
    cable” message w
    ll be dsplayed.
    Dsconnect the USB cable from the camera and prnter.
