    wateroutandshutsoffthewaterintake.Ifthe
    waterlevelhasnotdroppedwithin60seconds,
    theprogramisterminated.
    Transport/Winterstorage
    Ifthemachineistobetransportedorstoredin
    unheatedpremiseswherethetemperaturecan
    fallbelowfreezing,doasfollows:
    •Emptythefilterandthedrainagepump.See

    •Shutoffthewatertothewashingmachine,
    loosenthesupplyhosetotheintakevalveand
    letthewaterrunoutfromthevalveandhose.
    •Afteremptyingthepump,asmallamountof
    watermayremaininthemachine.Thisdoes
    notaffectqualityordamagethemachine.
    Recycling

    atleastasgentleaswashingbyhand.
    Woolisespeciallysensitivetoprocessessuchas
    washing.
    Ifyoudonotwishtospindry,youcansqueeze
    outthewaterusingterrytowels.Inthiscaseselect
    Nospin.
    Tofindouthowtochoosethissetting,seethe
    "Washing"chapter.However,mostgarmentscan
    withstandashortspin.Chooseashortspinby
    selectingaspinspeedof800rpmorless.
    Rayonfibresandsyntheticfibres
    Materialsmadeofrayonfibres,suchasviscose,
    andsomesyntheticfibresareverydelicateand
    requiremuchspacesoasnottocrease.Onlyhalf
    fillthedrumwhenwashingandchooseaspin
    speedof800rpmorlower.
    NOTE!
    Viscoseandacetatesarefragilewhenwet.

    ThewashingmachinehasaSuperRinseoption.
    Usethisforpeoplewithsensitiveskin,suchas
    thosewithallergiesandsmallchildren.
    Savetimeandenergy
    UsetheColour/Whiteprogramtosavetimeand
    energy.Thisprogramhasashortermainwash
    thanNormal,butisoftensufficientforlightlysoiled
    washing.

    Youcansaveenergybynotusinghigher
    temperatureprogramsthannecessary.

    •Avoidpre-washing.Modernmachinesand
    detergentscleaneffectivelywithout
    pre-washing.Pre-washingisonlynecessary
    forheavilysoiledwashing.
    Detergents
    Eco-labelleddetergentsarelessharmfultothe

    Detergentoverdosingdoesnotgivebetter
    washingresults;itmerelycausesagreaterimpact

    polyester/cotton.

    Addthedyedirectlytothewashingdrum–not
    tothedetergentcompartment.Afterdyeing,you
    shouldrunthemachineemptyusingthesame
    program.Usethenormalamountofdetergent.
