     Close
    theoutput trayand paper support whenyouarenotusing theproduct toprotect itfrom dust.
     Caution:
    Donot use ahard brush, alcohol, orpaint thinner toclean theproduct oryou may damage it.
     Do
    not use oilorother lubricants insidetheproduct orlet water getinside it.

    Turn offthe product.
     2.
    Unplug thepower cable.
     3.
    Disconnect anyconnected cables.
     4.
    Remove allthe paper.
     5.
    Clean thescanner glasswithasoft, lint-free cloth(microfiber isrecommended), moistenedwitha
     little
    glass cleaner.
     Caution:
    Donot spray glasscleaner directlyonthe glass anddonot press theglass surface with
     any
    force.
     6.
    Clean theouter caseandcontrol panelwithasoft, drycloth. Donot use liquid orchemical cleansers.

    When storing ortransporting anink bottle afterremoving itsseal, donot tiltthe bottle anddonot
     subject
    itto impacts ortemperature changes.Otherwise, inkmay leakeven ifthe cap onthe inkbottle
     is
    tightened securely.Besure tokeep theinkbottle upright whentightening thecap, andtake
     measures
    toprevent inkfrom leaking whentransporting theinkbottles.

    Turn offthe product.
     2.
    Liftupthe scanner unitand check tosee ifthe print head isin the farright position (thehome
     position).
    Ifnot, turn onthe product, waitforthe print head tomove tothe farright, thenturnthe
     product
    offagain.
     3.
    Secure theprint head tothe case withtape.
     Caution:
    Donot place tapeonthe white flatcable inside theproduct; otherwise, youmay damage
     your
    product.
     4.
    Lower thescanner unit.
     5.
    Remove allthe paper fromtheproduct.

    Close theoutput trayand paper support, ifnecessary.
     7.
    Unplug thepower cable.
     8.
    Disconnect anyconnected cables.
     9.
    Unhook theinktank unitfrom theproduct andlayitdown.

    Donot pull onthe inktubes.

    Open theinktank unitcover andcheck tomake surethattheinktank caps areinstalled securely.

    Hook theinktank unitonto theproduct.
     12.
    Place theproduct inits original packaging materials,ifpossible, oruse equivalent cushioning around

    Keep theproduct levelduring transport. Otherwise, inkmay leak.

    The firsttime youfillthe tanks withink,theproduct mustcharge itsprint head. Waituntilcharging
     finishes
    beforeyouturn offthe product, oritmay charge improperly anduseexcess inkthe next time
     you
    turn iton. Your product isfinished charging theprint head when the power lightstops flashing.
     •
    Ifthe products printhead stops moving ormaking noise,andthecharging processhasnotfinished
     after
    approximately 20minutes, turnoffyour product. Turnitback onand check tosee ifcharging is
     still
    inprogress. Ifitis still inprogress, contactEpsonforhelp.
